    Storyline

    Edit
Zenon Kar is a trouble-prone 13-year-old girl who lives on a space station with her family in the year 2049 AD. When she runs afoul of the station's owner, Parker Windom, she is judged to be "incorrigible" and punished by being exiled to the worst place imaginable: the planet Earth. After several painful weeks of adjustment to her new surroundings, Zenon enlists the aid of her earthbound pals to return to her "real" home with evidence that the "respectable" Mr. Windom is up to no good. —Hal Erickson

    Corny, to say the least
With characters who are supposed to be 13 but act like they are about 8, silly "space age" sayings("ceedus lapeedus,""stellar," "inky")and a title like that, one can not actually expect this to be a fine, serious movie and it most certainly was not. I believe that "Zenon" was intended to be a family film and while little kids might like her "daring" antics, I did not, as she came off to me as a bad cross between the orphan Annie(of the "Annie" musical)and Pippi Longstocking and was far too old to be acting like either of them.

But alas, Zenon's "spunk" gets her in trouble. I guess throughout all of this, audiences are supposed to be relating to her--cheering her on when she succeeds and feeling upset when she doesn't(which isn't very often.)As I said, while very young kids might find her adventures to be captivating and hillarious, I found that they only veered between cheesy and overblown during the space scenes, to just plain DULL when she is on Earth. Not much of a story either. At least Pippi and Annie have a little heart and I will take them over Zenon any day!
