I love Who Dares Wins, and great to see Mike Whitney doing hosting duties, supported by Tanya Zaetta (who became big in Bollywood for a time). Each time the huge dare task was presented, I sometimes wondered would the contestant accept it or back out? I could perfectly understand if the contestant said "No way!!", in which case I think Tanya Zaetta would have to do the task.

Also you had mini-dares for folk on the street. One memorable one was where Mike Whitney dared someone to rip up a phone book. Anyway, no-one could do it, except one person...the person ripped up the phone book along the spine. Mike Whitney's expression of disbelief was priceless!

It's a shame Who Dares Wins didn't run longer. In any case, it deserves a reboot.
  • This is a very good show with the host challenging ( or rather daring) ordinary men and women on the street to perform some very spectacular stunts. For example, jumping down from the top of the shopping arcade, breaking a solid granite-tile with one karate-blow, etc. The show is a definite credit to the people - especially women of Australia.

    Warning: Spoilers
Who Dares Wins is a show hosted by Mike Whitney on the Seven Network, and originally aired from 96 through 01 before being shown on repeats afterwards. It involves daring ordinary people from the Australian public in such places as shopping malls, parks et cetera, to do things they, as Whitney puts it, 'never thought they could, should or would do'. The dares range from drinking water through the nose to abseiling down skyscrapers, and take place in many places involving all sorts of people. This is what reality TV should be like. It is both entertaining and interesting, as many locations are used, and all manner of dares. A very entertaining show, it ought to have more seasons.
