  • A strictly American porn film, "Daughters of Emmanuelle" decided to use its title to trade upon the all-time French popular hit -typical misleading advertising. Even more surprising, it turns out to be two short films strung together rather arbitrarily. With those two strikes against the product, I surprised myself by enjoying the result.

First half stars Rhonda Jo Petty in a still timely plot line of a beauty who suffers from problems with self-worth -she doesn't believe she's as alluring as we fans all know she truly is. Fiancée Ron Jeremy arranges a photo shoot for her with Linda Shaw and of course lesbian sex results after some satisfying Oiler genre action.

It turns into a three-way with the photographer, and upon returning home Petty finally humps eager Ron.

Second half spotlights the wonderful Laurie Smith as well as Nicole Black -it becomes clear in a hurry why I enjoyed this feature. Laurie is in need of marriage counseling and heads to a Sexual Institute where instructor Ken Starbuck gives her some significant tips. Her husband Kevin James (you know which one) follows suit and the marriage is saved via some legerdemain involving the spouses wearing masks and pleasantly surprised when they see who did what to whom upon their removal.

An odd structure presaging today's over-long vignette approach, but far better casting and execution back in the day.
