Robin Williams performs his act in San Francisco's Great American Music Hall. Although he does do some of his more well known routines, much of the footage is devoted to Williams' frenetic, completely off the wall improvisation.
When imitating Alexander Haig doing late night commercials, Robin sang, "If you want a better deal, go see Al." This was a parody of commercials in Southern California at the time for Cal Worthington Ford in Long Beach. (The "go see Cal" part was often also mistaken as "pussy cow" due to how the singer said it.)
What? "Ninny-ninny" wasn't good enough for you? Popeye wasn't good enough for you?
Robin Williams: Popeye wasn't good enough for anybody! Who are you kidding?
At the end when Robin meets up with his alter ego from the beginning, he says "Pop?" but his mouth doesn't move.
