  • Written by William A. Thoden and directed by George D. Baker. Bunny is in love with his employer's daughter Flora, but when Ezra Wilson returns from the city in a brand new subway guard uniform, Flora is carried away with him and gives Bunny the cold shoulder. He goes to the city and becomes a recruit, but it is not all as represented and he deserts and goes back to the village and makes a sensation. The sergeant arrives and arrests him as a deserter, taking him away to break stones. Even the most sober-minded person would have to laugh at this picture. - The Moving Picture World, August 15, 1914
