This is such a fantastic show and I will forever cherish the memories I have of watching this. The first three seasons and the first movie are outstanding (my rating is only for the first three seasons), however, I stopped watching after season 7 because it grew stale for me. After Steven Hillenburg left, the magic was mostly lost. There are definitely episodes here and there that are worth watching beyond season 3 (mostly episodes in season 4 and 5), but if you want to watch the show the way it was intended, then watch the first three seasons and the first movie and stop.
