Quotes

Leonard Shelby: So where are you? You're in some motel room. You just - you just wake up and you're in - in a motel room. There's the key. It feels like maybe it's just the first time you've been there, but perhaps you've been there for a week, three months. It's -...

Goofs

Sammy Jankis is reported as having "possible damage in the hippocampus, nothing conclusive" but the CT scan of his brain shown at the time is grossly abnormal. It shows a large left sided subdural haematoma (bleed) with significant mass effect. It is very likely that a patient with such a scan would be seriously unwell. However, since Sammy is a fabrication of Leonard's memory, it is highly likely that this brain scan is in fact a scan of his own brain, fitting the description of bleeding.

Alternate Versions

On the 2 Disc, Limited Edition R1 DVD, a "chronological" version can be found by going through the questionnaires on the second disc. When the question comes on screen concerning the lady with a flat tire, answer the 4-part question in reverse order (#3, then #4, #1, and #2) and the "chronological" version will play. The rewind and fast-forward features do not work while watching this version. If you put the pictures in the "correct" order, you get to read the short story the movie is based on.
