| Best show in the world.
Wow this is not only the best anime of all time its the best show of all time! I have liked this show since I was in 3rd grade absolutely amazing show. I love it not only for the action but for the emotional scenes in it are very well done, its definitely got a great storyline to back up its fabulous action. The only thing that can get annoying about this show is a lot of the stuff is drawn out too long but hey everything has its good and bad parts. The show starts off a little slow but trust me it gets good once Freeza saga hits. Also the music that Funimation's Bruce Falconer is a true artist wow I was blown away at how good the music is. The music really makes you feel how emotional the scene is. Its like the music puts you in the situation its so good.

Trivia

In the Latin American dub, Chi Chi's name is changed to Milk, due to the fact that in Mexico and some other Spanish speaking countries the word "chichi" means "boob".

Quotes

Videl: You know those people?
Gohan: Yeah. That man, wearing the orange uniform, he's my dad.
Videl: WHAT? I thought your dad was with another woman.
Gohan: Oh no! Just dead. Didn't you see that ring floating over his head?
Videl: I think I need to lie down.

Goofs

(English dubbed version) In the episodes where Goku is training on King Kai's planet, it takes him six days to catch Bubbles. But in the Frieza saga when Goku's dead friends arrive there to train, King Kai tells them it took Goku three weeks to catch Bubbles.

Crazy Credits

The show has three openings. The first opening (Saiyan and Frieza Saga) is a montage of the characters and battles, and it features a scene of Nappa and Vegeta walking through fire, and ends with the Z-Fighters assembled, joined by Goku who falls from above wielding his Power Pole (unusual considering he never uses it in Z.) The second intro (Cell Saga) is basically the same, however it eliminates the "Nappa and Vegeta in fire" sequence, and shows a more modern group shot of the Z-Fighters at the end, including Goku becoming a Super Saiyan. The third intro (Buu Saga) is completely different and features a new opening song, with footage of the Z-Fighters as they appear later in the series. The first two intros are accompanied by an end credits scene of Gohan running on a globe, intercut with other footage of Z-Fighters and allies. The third intro has an end credits scene featuring Gohan walking down a sidewalk, looking up to see Goku with angel wings, who drops a feather from them.

Alternate Versions

The original Saban dub was very heavily edited, removing most of the violence and also all gore, several visual shots of alcohol, mild sexuality and nudity were removed or altered, along with other seemingly random footage presumably removed to speed up the pacing of the story. The new Funimation dub restores all missing footage, including a long segment explaining how Gohan ended up clinging to a tree above a waterfall in the first episode, and an entire episode in which Gohan falls into a cave while alone in the wilderness and meets a nihilistic trapped robot. The new version combines reused dialogue from the original dub with completely new dialogue more closely based on the original Japanese version, with numerous references to death and dying restored after being entirely censored in the original dub.
