Storyline

Educated but poverty struck Gopi has no money to treat his ill mother. Finally, he decides to ask support from his uncle who possess Gopi's mother's wealth. As the Uncle refuses to help and insults Gopi, he decides to steal the money from Uncle. Gopi was caught red handed and was imprisoned. He manages to escape after a few years only to learn that his mother has passed away. Shattered Gopi decides to get rich or die trying at any cost. He takes a fake name Ravi.- Sameir Ali. —Sameir Ali

Sangeethame Jeevitham...

Jailppulli is a very interesting movie. Especially when compared to the year of it's release. I don't think there were much negative characters as protagonists during those time. The film is based on Gopi (Prem Nazir); a situation driven villain of the movie. Someone who decides to get rich or die trying, after loosing everything in his life. Very curious to see that this thread has been made into many films in Malayalam. There are about 13 songs in this film, including the most famous "Sangeethame Jeevitham..."
