Two slacker wrestling fans are devastated by the ousting of their favorite character by an unscrupulous promoter.
In the movie, the boys' home state is Wyoming as well as Sasha saying that she grew up in Cody, Wyoming. Eric Bischoff, the Vice-President of World Championship Wrestling during the making of the movie owned a home and lived part time in Cody, Wyoming.

Sean Dawkins: Hey, Uncle Billy lost his right nut in 'nam.

While King and Page wrestle their first match, they discuss the moves they will be doing and when, which is how pro-wrestling works. But they talk way too loud and don't even try to hide the visibility of their mouths moving. This would completely lose the suspension of disbelief which is what wrestling is all about.
No wrestlers were harmed during the making of this motion picture.
A shot of the "Oklahoma"-singing cowboy tied to a tree was cut from the video and DVD releases after concern was expressed that it made light of anti-gay violence.
