This is another "Mondo" look at real-life horrors from around the world. Some footage was international, while other torture scenes were staged in the US.
The first cut of the film featured much international animal abuse. That version wasn't successful, so the animal sequences were replaced by torture and horror scenes staged in the US by exploitation filmmaker Bob Cresse.
Originally released in September 1967. According to the AFI catalog, the film was withdrawn from circulation in November 1967 and altered to excise some footage; the edited version was re-issued on 15 December 1967.
