  • Which I am... it kept my attention but you start thinking, this isn't a made for TV movie as much as it's a TV show. Halfway through the movie you're wondering about the pace at which the plot develops and two thirds you're thinking there's no way they're going to wrap all this up neat and tidy and then you realize it's a pilot for a TV series you want to watch but there are no episodes. Part of me wishes I read the other review before I watched it but then I might not have watched it and it was entertaining enough. Really wish there was more.
  • I really enjoyed "The Negotiator", but what IMDb hasn't mentioned, is that it was a pilot for a TV series which never materialised, which is a real shame, as i think Cox would have made a really good lead for what looked to be a mix of intrigue/thriller/terrorist series, which has returned recently in things like "The Grid".

The plot is relatively simple, following a drug deal gone sideways, through some of the Scots underworld, culminating in some rather grim dealings, and then Cox's Character's heart attack. it has some cool characters, and is in places quite grim, but that's Scotland for you.

well worth a look, if only for curiosity value.
