A funny, sad completely charming film.
Good music and good acting go together to make a wonderful picture. Judy Dench (as usual) was great and Ian Holm remains one of my favorite actors. The band coaching was well done -- the ladies were very believable. And who ever was playing for them was doing a great job.

It was nice seeing Leslie Caron and Olympia Dekaukas.

And Clio Laine can still belt'em out. (That was great piano behind her in the closing "Taking a Chance on Love." My hat off the the street guitarist.

Great cast, great movie.
