  • This may be the best movie I've seen by Juan Bustillo Oro. A well-made drama with multiple characters who live in a tenement. David Silva and Andres Soler are both excellent, and the cast overall is strong. The performances are lively and engaging. The pace is a little slow. Bustillo Oro seems to prefer shooting in long takes usually in medium shot. It could be a little more dynamic. But the script is strong. The characters are interesting. The drama is developed well. Most of the characters are obsessed with getting something, money or sex, rather than caring for others. There are some general similarities to Cuando Los Hijos Se Van, but this film is less sentimental. Again, Bustillo Oro seems to be saying that our only hope is in love and forgiveness.
