Kukunor is a poem written by Lauri Viita in 1949.This short movie from 1989 is directed by Heikki Partanen and Riitta Rautoma. There was also a TV movie in 1973 of the same poem. There are six great actors seen in this movie. The most legendary one must be Lasse Pöysti, who turned 85 on January. He plays Vuoriukko.Emilia Pokkinen plays Kukunor while Paavo Pentikäinen is Kalahar.Rabbe Smedlund is Aika.Marja-Leena Kouki is Ääni.Kari Väänänen plays the part of Ihmissyöjä.This is rather hypnotic stuff to watch and listen to, that gives you this nice feeling inside. But you have to really concentrate while you're watching this.Have a little patience.During these hectic times we're living it's sometimes good to slow down and listen to some poetry.
