When the Evil Magikoopa, Kamek, is out to kidnap Baby Mario, Yoshi is on a mission to successfully carry Baby Mario back to his parents in the Mushroom Kingdom.
The original 1995 version of "Yoshi's Island" has never been released on the Nintendo Wii U or Nintendo 3DS, Virtual Console. Instead, the 2002 Gameboy Advance remake of "Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3" has been released on the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS Virtual Console.

During the credits, we see the stork, with baby Mario and baby Luigi in the sack, flying to its true destination. After the credits are over, the stork manages to get them home where their parents are amazed and shows the following text: "Heroes are born! The End".
Remade for Nintendo's GameBoy Advance as 'Super Mario Advance 3' with 4 new levels and a new control scheme (the Super NES had 8 buttons; the GBA has only 6.)
