This film is a mixture of 2 genres. It has melodious music, romantic pair of young stars and whodunit kind of murder mystery.
I think the writer wanted to write a suspenseful story with romance as a backdrop. But when they heard the music, they decided to accommodate all songs. Because of this, the murder mystery angle is pushed to back seat. Songs are nice but they are too many. 2 murders happen in first 30 minutes of the movie, then nothing happens for the next 1.5 hrs. Only songs and romance is shown in these 1.5 hrs. Then again the movie takes thriller route in the last 30 minutes.
The identity of the killer comes as surprise but then that character is not given much screen presence in the entire movie. So the shock value is less here.
It's a one time watch movie as it has good music and a little dragged murder mystery.
