  • Warning: Spoilers
Nasir Hussain is known for making family films with long lost brothers, lost families due to circumstances created by the villain and his henchmen. They are known for the illogical action sequences but have a good story. Nasir Hussian is a veteran director known for his super hit films like Yadoon Ki Baarat but Mr.Hussina, your power won't last through the 80's, 90's if you make such melodramatic action films which will work latest in the 70's. This was Hussian's and Deol's second film together after Manzil Manzil which flopped. Sadly, this movie is also declared a flop. The story is nothing new, it is a typical Hussian movie where problems arise because of the bad people, but Deol takes revenge and clears his dad's name from murder. Pretty typical and this is getting old now. Honestly, Manzil Manzil was a flop but I liked it, this movie was a bit of a letdown, yet the suspenses effect is good. Still, Nasir Hussian's journey ends here and he will be no longer making any films.
  • Well, No repetition on story plot, it's already given, there is nothing more to mention here.

When it comes to Nasir Hussain movie, one expect a good musical romantic with good scenic locations. A veteran in this genre with some very good musical thriller in his cap - Tumsa Nahin Dekha, Dil Deke Dekho, Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai, Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon, Baharon Ke Sapne, Pyar Ka Mausam, Caravan, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Hum Kisise Kum Naheen, Zamaane Ko Dikhana Hai to name a few, these were all Musical Hits, Zabardast is just opposite. Music is a big let down except for one Song (Jab chaha yaara tumne), is good. Jaya Prada is wasted in this song as well as in movie. Considered as a good dancer, Jaya Prada was made to sit throughout the song is not understandable (Probably she is paired with Sunny Deol, who can't dance :) ). Rest of the songs are average.

Sub plots were very weak indeed. Rajendra Nath role could've been avoided.

A weak attempt in my opinion. It's not very bad, one time watchable, but not something which may becomes part of someones collection.

    Warning: Spoilers
This movie has the most contrived and ridiculous plotline imaginable. Look-alikes, lost and found and then lost again and then found. Love story arc that is a direct rehash from the director's own movie, Teesri Manzil. Pathetic music, except for one song. Other than Sanjeev Kumar, the acting is atrocious. Apparently, the cast was originally supposed to include Dilip Kumar (instead of Sanjeev) and Rishi Kapoor (instead of Rajiv). Even they couldn't have saved this Zabardasti movie!

Hussain was a great filmmaker in his time. But, perhaps he was too old and lost his creative juices by the time he created this disaster of a movie.
