In “My Fault: London,” there simply aren’t enough alterations to author Mercedes Ron’s source material, “Culpa Mía,” to make its trashy gimmick the least bit palatable. The Wattpad fiction’s original Spanish adaptation of the same name, which debuted on Prime Video in 2023, seemingly fits the definition of a “guilty pleasure,” making audiences cringe as non-blood related stepsiblings challenge puritanical social mores with their embarrassingly toxic, borderline incestuous courtship. At least that iteration didn’t contain the parents laughing off any sneaking suspicions their kids are having hot sex with each other under their roof.

Fast & Furious fans who stream their favorite action-packed films on Netflix will be disappointed this month. On February 12, 2025, the streaming service will remove five movies from the franchise, making it harder to watch the full series in one place. The titles leaving Netflix include:
‘The Fast and the Furious’ (2001) ‘2 Fast 2 Furious’ (2003) ‘The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift’ (2006) ‘Fast Five’ (2011) ‘Fast & Furious 6’ (2013)
While some of these movies will soon be available on another streaming platform, the franchise will be spread across multiple services, making it more difficult for fans to binge-watch the entire series.
Just a few days after they leave Netflix, NBCUniversal’s streaming service, Peacock, will add four ‘Fast & Furious’ films on February 15, 2025. Two of these movies (‘Fast Five’ and ‘Fast & Furious 6’) are part of the batch leaving Netflix, while the other two titles are:

The Valentine’s Day-set horror romantic comedy Heart Eyes, the latest film from Werewolves Within and Scare Me director Josh Ruben is now in theatres (you can read our 7/10 review Here and watch our interviews with cast members at This Link), and during an interview with our friends at Bloody Disgusting, Ruben revealed that he used writer/director Tom McLoughlin’s 1986 classic Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI as his guide when figuring out how to balance horror and comedy in his own slasher movie.
Heart Eyes has the following synopsis: When the Heart Eyes Killer strikes Seattle, a pair of co-workers pulling overtime on Valentine’s Day are mistaken for a couple by the elusive couple-hunting killer. Now they must spend the most romantic night of the year running for their lives. Ruben previously provided the following statement: “My love of horror is rivaled only by my love of romantic comedies.

As TV’s biggest stage, Super Bowl Lix is a huge opportunity for advertisers — a chance to reach a massive audience that’s as eager to watch the commercials as the football between them. Yet given the sharply polarized political environment and online legions waiting to pounce on anything they find offensive, the balancing act to avoid striking the wrong chord with segments of the public appears more treacherous than ever.
Made skittish by recent ads that have prompted a political backlash — none fresher in their memory than Bud Light’s 2023 promotion for college basketball’s March Madness featuring trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney — many companies have adopted a play-it-safe approach.
For marketers, the prevailing logic seems to be once bitten, twice shy. Yet at the same time, the pressure on Super Bowl advertising is to be worthy of the platform, destined to reach more than 100 million viewers on Sunday and reverberate beyond that.

After the commercial success of “Jurassic World: Dominion,” it was inevitable that Universal would eventually go back to the world of “Jurassic Park”, despite the largely negative reviews the last installment received. What surprised most moviegoers, however, was that the latest entry in the franchise would happen so soon after the allegedly “final” “Jurassic World” movie. But when money’s on the table, one absolutely understands why Universal decided to do more with one of its biggest intellectual properties alongside “The Fast & The Furious.”
Enter “Jurassic World Rebirth,” the seventh overall installment in the “Jurassic Park,” series.

Vin Diesel was bitten by the acting bug very early in his life, having acted in a New York stage production of "Dinosaur Door" at the age of seven. The way Diesel came to be involved in "Dinosaur Door" was kismet. It seems that he and a few buddies had broken into the theater to vandalize it, but were caught by the theater manager. Rather than calling the police, Diesel and friends were offered parts in the play, which they accepted. Diesel ended up studying writing and filmmaking in college.
Diesel made his motion picture debut in 1990, playing an unnamed orderly in the Robin Williams/Robert De Niro drama "Awakenings." He was 23. Also a burgeoning filmmaker, Diesel also wrote and directed the short film "Multi-Facial" in 1995, a film about his own multiracial background. In 1997, Diesel wrote, directed, and starred in the character-based crime movie "Strays," a film that played at the Sundance Film Festival.

Vin Diesel revealed Thursday that Universal will finish shooting “Fast X: Part 2” in Los Angeles in response to the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires. The 11th and purportedly final installment in the “Fast & Furious” franchise will return to L.A., the city where Diesel noted the film series began 25 years ago.
On Instagram, the actor-producer shared he was inspired to bring “Fast & Furious” back to the West Coast in a phone call with longtime co-star Jordana Brewster, who plays the on-screen sister to Diesel’s “Fast” hero Dominic Toretto.
“Last week, during the fires that displaced L.A., my sister Jordana reached out to me and said, ‘Please have Universal film the rest of “Fast X: Part 2″ in LA. Los Angeles needs it now more than ever,'” Diesel wrote. “Los Angeles is where ‘Fast and Furious’ started filming 25 years ago … and now ‘Fast’ will finally return home.

Vin Diesel announced that “Fast X: Part 2” will finish shooting in Los Angeles, the city that provided the setting for the first film in the long-running franchise, as a way to bolster a local economy that’s been hit hard by devastating wildfires.
“Los Angeles is where Fast and Furious started filming 25 years ago… and now Fast will finally return home,” Diesel declared on social media.
On Instagram, Diesel said that Jordana Brewster, his co-star in the series, reached out to him and urged him to press Universal to move the rest of the filming to Los Angeles, saying that the city “needs it now more than ever.” It’s unclear how much more of “Fast X: Part 2” is left to shoot. The film does not currently have a release date.

David Ayer has enjoyed a remarkable career, but one movie remains a challenging aspect of his legacy. The director began his career as a writer for the submarine movie U-571 (2000), and he quickly found his way to multiple popular productions. He wrote for The Fast and the Furious (2001), Training Day (2001), and S.W.A.T. (2003), earning success for each release. Eventually, he attracted attention and earned a role as the director of Harsh Times (2005). The extremely small-scale production had a $2 million budget and easily earned success with its $6 million box office total.
Having proven himself, Ayer went on to be a Hollywood regular. He directed 2016's Suicide Squad for the DC Extended Universe, 2024's The Beekeeper, and 2014's Fury. While Suicide Squad failed to entertain critics, it was his biggest success, earning $749 million on a budget of $175 million. It proved that he could handle big-budget releases, even if these franchise movies might not wholly satisfy audiences.

It's extremely early in the year, but I imagine it will be tough for another 2025 movie title to come along that's more metal than "Den of Thieves 2: Pantera." But if this grungy, pulpy franchise had gone a slightly different way during development, we would have been deprived of that title -- and indeed, the "Den of Thieves" movies in their entirety. Instead, we came very close to getting a "Den of Thieves" TV series.
"When I did my research for 'Den 1' back in the day, I just came across so many different heists and I got to know the cops that were investigating them, and I just had so much material that we knew that we were going to be building a franchise," writer/director Christian Gudegast told me in a recent interview. "There was a minute way back in the day where it was going to become a TV series.

We all love it when a classic screen villain makes an unexpected return. That certainly drives “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl,” the first Wallace & Gromit feature since 2005’s Oscar-winning “The Curse of the Were-Rabbit” and the first film to feature the beloved characters since 2008’s “A Matter of Loaf and Death”. The villain? Feathers McGraw, the larcenous penguin (disguised as a rooster thanks to a red rubber glove) from 1993’s “The Wrong Trousers,” which, yes, won the Oscar for animated short.
This time around, Feathers frames cuddly inventor Wallace (voiced by Ben Whitehead) and his beloved pooch Gromit for a series of crimes by hacking into the “smart gnome” Wallace has invented, named Norbot.
Director Nick Park said that the central idea for the new film had been hanging around since “Curse of the Were-Rabbit:” “What if Wallace invented a robot gnome to help Gromit in the garden?” The idea,...

The flop of one of the earlier movies in the Fast & Furious franchise led to the series completely changing course, and eventually turning into an action series. 2001's The Fast and the Furious was the first film in the long-running franchise, and was a grounded story about an undercover police officer who joined a group of street racers. At its core, the Fast & Furious franchise has always been about street racing, and the first few films in the series showcased this. However, it didn't take long for the Fast & Furious movies to become increasingly more action-packed.
2 Fast 2 Furious showed hints of the over-the-top action the franchise was capable of, but it was 2009's Fast & Furious, the fourth film in the series, that truly transformed the franchise from a series about street racing to pure action movies. On Halloween, Sony Pictures unveiled a red band teaser trailer for the Valentine’s Day-set horror romantic comedy Heart Eyes – and last week, the film’s director, Josh Ruben (who previously brought us Werewolves Within and Scare Me), took to social media to let it be known that the full trailer would be dropping online this week. Sure enough, the full trailer for Heart Eyes has now been unveiled, and you can check it out in the embed above.
Heart Eyes is set to reach theatres on February 7, 2025. February 14th is a Friday, so that would seem to be the perfect choice for this movie’s release date, but it was already taken by Disney/Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World, so Sony had to move it to the week before Valentine’s Day. Its competition on that date is the Universal action movie Love Hurts, starring Ke Huy Quan.

As Vin Diesel took the stage to present the Golden Globe for Cinematic Box Office at the 2025 ceremony, he nodded to his former Fast & Furious costar Dwayne Johnson, who was sitting front and center in the audience the whole night.
“Hey Dwayne,” was all Diesel said, but the Moana 2 star acknowledged the greeting with a slight nod in his lilac suit.
The pair previously worked together on The Fast & the Furious franchise, and since 2016, reports of behind-the-scenes drama and a feud between the two actors have circulated even beyond the production and release of The Fate of the Furious (2017), which marked a big confrontation between their two characters.
Johnson joined the franchise in 2011 in the fifth film, Fast Five (2011) as Luke Hobbs, and his character later got a spinoff called Hobbs & Shaw (2019).

Although Mad Max: Fury Road is a truly unique, one-of-a-kind movie, there are still plenty of other films out there for massive fans of the Best Picture nominee. George Miller’s gritty, stylized sequel takes all the brutal action and greasy car chases of his original series and updates it for modern audiences, resulting in one of the flashiest and most outlandish action movies of the past few decades. It’s a wasteland odyssey of immense proportions, and while few other projects have achieved the same quality, there are still many fun movies with similar premises to Mad Max.
George Miller's critically acclaimed sequel has made a home for itself on Netflix in recent years, and thankfully, many of its clearest inspirations can also be found on the streaming service. These are either movies that directly inspired Miller's filmmaking style, or simply those that have proven influential within the post-apocalyptic,...

On Halloween, Sony Pictures unveiled a red band teaser trailer for the Valentine’s Day-set horror romantic comedy Heart Eyes – which is the video embedded above. The film’s director, Josh Ruben (who previously brought us Werewolves Within and Scare Me), has taken to social media to let it be known that the full trailer will be dropping online next week – but while we wait for that to come along, the Motion Picture Association ratings board has revealed that they’ve given Heart Eyes an R rating for strong violence and gore, language and some sexual content.
Ruben previously provided the following...

Jason Momoa spent years portraying Aquaman in the pre-James Gunn DC cinematic universe, and it now looks like Gunn and company will bring him along as they attempt to restart the franchise — albeit as a different character.
As confirmed by Deadline, Momoa will play the role of Lobo in the upcoming film Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, marking the character’s first onscreen portrayal. The former Game of Thrones actor has often been likened to Lobo’s usual depiction, and Momoa himself has even expressed interest in the role in the past.
“I collect comics, and I don’t do so much anymore, but [Lobo] was always my favorite, and I always wanted to play Lobo, because I’m like, ‘Hello? It’s the perfect role,’ … If they call and ask me to play him, it’s a fuck yeah” Momoa posted to Instagram, taking the quote from a past interview.

There is no "Fast and Furious" franchise without Michelle Rodriguez ... and yet, the first entry in the property almost happened without her. The action star was still pretty new to acting when she was cast as Letty Ortiz in 2001's "The Fast and the Furious," having just made her screen debut in 2000 by starring in the indie sports drama hit "Girlfight." That mean "Fast and the Furious" was Rodriguez's first foray into Hollywood proper, and she nearly walked away from the project due to some problems with the original script.
The issue? A storyline that saw Letty romantically torn between Vin Diesel's Dom Toretto and Paul Walker's Brian O'Conner. "It was more of a 'Point Break' idea," Rodriguez told The Daily Beast in 2015. "They just followed the format without thinking about the reality of it. The 1996 disaster movie, Daylight, will soon be coming to your home in crisp ultra high-definition picture. Blu-ray.com has recently reported that the Sylvester Stallone film from Rob Cohen, who directed Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story and The Fast and the Furious, will be getting a new 4K remastered physical media release from the Kino Lorber distributor. In addition to Stallone, the movie co-starred Amy Brenneman, Viggo Mortensen, Dan Hedaya, and Jay O. Sanders. This new ultra-hd version is expected to hit retailers next year on March 11.
Daylight is not particularly well regarded by Stallone fans, and it had the misfortune of coming out just as disaster movies were bombing left and right. It grossed an abysmal $33 million domestically, which seriously hurt Sly’s career, even though it did well enough overseas that it likely broke even by the time it hit home video. Vin Diesel’s Hollywood beginning was super surprising (Photo Credit – Facebook)
Yep, it all began when young Mark Sinclair (that’s his real name) and his friends tried to break into Theater for the New City in New York City. Their aim? Vandalizing the place. But fate had other plans. Instead of calling the cops, the theater’s artistic director, Crystal Field, offered them a chance to appear in a play called Dinosaur Door. Talk about turning a mistake into a miracle!
Instead of a criminal record, Vin Diesel got an acting gig. That one unexpected opportunity led to a lifelong love of the stage. He kept at it throughout his teenage years, learning the ropes of performance and storytelling. By the time Diesel hit Hunter College, he dove into creative writing, sharpening his screenwriting chops and fueling a deeper passion for the creative arts. Acting wasn’t just a pastime—it became a path.

Certain actors and movie stars may have gained immense success for a particular role or type of protagonist and chose to stick to it. While always playing the hero doesn't mean always playing the same type of character, some actors rarely play the bad guy. Some of the greatest actors of all time never actually played villains, which proves that sticking to heroic roles is not necessarily a bad thing.
What goes hand in hand with this phenomenon is an actor's popularity and public perception. It's rare to go to a Jason Statham, Keanu Reeves, or Will Smith film, and expect them not to be the hero of the story they're in. For some, they found their niche at an early age and just ran with it. For others, it might be a safe space to rest after a lengthy and varied career. Whatever the reasoning may be, these actors put audiences at ease,...

With the holidays in full swing, it’s time to unwrap the sack and ask point blank: What is the all-time Best Worst Christmas action movie? Invasion USA? Money Train? Maybe the recently released Red One? With plenty of gifts to sift through, John Frankenheimer’s Reindeer Games instantly stands out as the ultimate fun, so-bad-it’s-good yuletide action affair. Even the great Charlize Theron, who has become Hollywood’s most hardened action heroine in the interim, told Esquire Magazine in 2008 that Reindeer Games was the worst movie she ever made, stating:
“Reindeer Games Was a bad, bad, bad movie. But I got to work with John Frannkenheimer. I wasn’t lying to myself. That’s why I did it.”
Indeed, every serious cinephile knows full well that Frankenheimer helmed some of the best cross-genre movies in the 1960s and 1970s, including such minor and major classics as The Young Savages,...

Action franchises are some of the most financially lucrative film series out there. 2024 alone has shown this, as Deadpool & Wolverine, the first Deadpool movie to be a part of the MCU franchise, made over $1 billion to become the second-highest grossing of the year to date. Dune: Part Two, a sci-fi action movie, was also incredibly financially successful, making $714.4 million at the worldwide box office.
While the action franchise phenomenon started decades ago, the 21st century has been a great time for the action franchise. Successful series include The Fast and the Furious, The Expendables, and Mission: Impossible, which has released the majority of its entries post-2000. The MCU is a particularly notable example of the success of action franchises. Of the top 10 highest-grossing movies of all time, three of them are MCU films. Another successful action franchise from the 2000s has found one of its entries on the streaming charts recently.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson officially made his Fast & Furious return in 2023, and his involvement in the next film sets up an underrated duo's long-awaited reunion. Having first appeared in 2011's Fast Five, The Rock's Luke Hobbs became a major part of the franchise, featuring in a total of 6 Fast & Furious movies, including his Hobbs & Shaw spinoff. The actor's feud with Vin Diesel did result in Hobbs being absent from F9, but thankfully, Dwayne Johnson returned in Fast X, meaning he will once again have a crucial role in the final mainline movie.
Despite the saga coming to an end, the action franchise seems likely to continue through spinoffs, with Johnson already having a project in the works. The Rock confirmed that Fast & Furious was developing a solo Hobbs spinoff, presumably in an attempt to follow up Hobbs & Shaw's success while cashing in on Johnson's star power.

Warner Bros. shuffled its film release schedule, planting “Final Destination: Bloodlines” on the calendar in summer and delaying the J.J. Abrams-backed mystery thriller “Flowervale Street” to 2026.
“Final Destination 6” will be released on May 16, 2025. It’s taking over the slot previously occupied by “Flowervale Street,” which was set for mid May but has been pushed nearly a year to March 13, 2026. “Final Destination: Bloodlines” is the only major studio release on that date, but it will debut two weeks after Disney’s Marvel adventure “Thunderbolts” (May 2) and the week prior to Paramount’s “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” and Disney’s live-action “Lilo & Stitch” (May 23).
The studio also acquired “Animal Friends,” a live-action/ CGI hybrid road trip adventure starring Ryan Reynolds, Jason Momoa, Aubrey Plaza and TikToker Addison Rae, and pushed its release date back to Oct. 10. Sony was previously set to release the film in August before Warner Bros.

Vin Diesel has teased that Fast & Furious 11 will go back to the franchise’s street-level roots to bring the series full circle, but it’s much, much too late for that. When the Fast & Furious timeline began in 2001 with The Fast and the Furious, it was a relatively grounded action drama. It told the Point Break-esque story of an FBI agent going undercover in an illegal street racing operation and being so charmed by their charismatic ringleader that he didn’t want to turn him in. For the first couple of sequels, the franchise maintained this semi-grounded approach.
But around Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6, when cars were dragging a stolen vault through the streets and a tank was tearing across a highway, that realism was long gone. Furious 7 opens with cars skydiving. The Fate of the Furious has The Rock redirecting a missile with his bare hands.

Jeopardy! contestant Dave Bond not only claimed victory on Thursday, December 6, but, unofficially speaking, delivered the week’s most hilarious moment with an “academic” blunder about The Fast & The Furious franchise that sent fans racing to social media. Given how long Brian O'Conner was a central part of Fast & Furious for, a shocking statistic about the character highlights one harsh reality about the iconic movie franchise. The action series is one of the biggest blockbusters around, having grossed over $7 billion throughout its 11 films, but despite its impressive profit and longevity, Fast & Furious is far from perfect. Despite many fans still loving the saga, Fast & Furious' ridiculous stunts and unrealistic action sequences have come under fire in recent years, but the franchise has still come out on top given its remarkable success.
Unfortunately, with Fast & Furious 11 set to be the final movie, the series will forever be full of missed opportunities. Although there will likely be future spinoffs set in the same universe - like Hobbs & Shaw - the central story will come to a close in F&f 11, putting an end to the large ensemble casts.

Vin Diesel shares a heartfelt tribute to his late friend and co-star Paul Walker, marking 11 years since the actor’s untimely death. Diesel and Walker starred together in the Fast & Furious franchise, beginning with the 2001 original, where Walker played Brian O’Conner, an undercover cop who infiltrates Dominic Toretto’s (Diesel) world of illegal street racing. The two actors became synonymous with the franchise, anchoring it through multiple sequels that transitioned the series from street racing to high-stakes heists and global adventures.
In a post on Instagram, Diesel commemorated 11 years since Walker's death. Tragically, Walker died in a car crash on November 30, 2013, at the age of 40, during a production break for Furious 7. His death deeply affected moviegoers and his co-stars, with the film’s final scenes serving as a tribute to Walker as Brian symbolically drove off into the sunset. Fast & Furious 11 is finally revving up after a short delay, but is it truly the end of the series? The Fast & Furious movie franchise is one of the oddest success stories of the 21st century, evolving from a goofy Point Break riff to a billion-dollar series. The cliffhanger ending of Fast X set up further outings, including two planned sequels and a Dwayne Johnson-fronted spinoff. The mid-credits scene featured the shock return of Johnson to the mainline saga and one that established a solo movie between Hobbs and Jason Momoa's villain Dante Reyes was incoming.
The underperforming box office of Fast X cooled the original plan for both Fast 11 and Johnson's solo film adventure. Vin Diesel's involvement in the Fast & Furious franchise for the past 23 years has allowed him to set an impressive record that won't ever be broken unless the saga continues for another two decades. Having made his franchise debut in 2001's The Fast and the Furious, Vin Diesel has become the face of the series, only missing one mainline movie throughout his career. While Fast & Furious' original premise didn't lead to box office triumphs right away, Diesel stuck with the franchise and helped turn it into a financial juggernaut, with its 11 movies making over $7 billion worldwide.

Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel shares an update on the franchise's plan for an endgame, including how many more movies there will be and Dwayne Johnson's return as Luke Hobbs. There’s no denying that The Fast and the Furious was inspired by a plethora of vehicular heist films that preceded it, but it also ended up being a source of inspiration for many action films that came after it. If we look at the North American market, after the success of the Ff franchise, films like Torque, Need for Speed, and Baby Driver were greenlit. Russia jumped on the trend with Street Racers. So did Malaysia with Evolusi Kl Drift and its sequel Evolusi Kl Drift 2; yes, they weren’t hiding their love for Tokyo Drift. India launched the massively popular Dhoom franchise. The Norwegian film industry also spawned a franchise inspired by the Ff films, i.e., the Borning trilogy. While the French were ahead of the curve with the two Taxi movies, they eventually expanded it into a five-film franchise after the demand for vehicular mayhem increased in the 2000s.

Dwayne Johnson has now reached a major career milestone at the box office. Better known as The Rock, Johnson got his start as a WWE wrestler before transitioning to acting in the late 1990s. Since then, Johnson's career has been comprised of several major series, including The Fast and the Furious and Journey to the Center of the Earth, as well as classic 2000s family-friendly movies such as The Game Plan and The Tooth Fairy. Johnson is having a big month in November between his just-released Christmas film Red One and Disney's upcoming Moana 2.
As per The Numbers, Johnson's career has hit a major box office milestone. Adding on the recent box office haul from Red One, films in which Johnson played the lead or lead-adjacent role have now made a combined $10.3 billion at the worldwide box office. Adding on several Fast and Furious films not counted in this total,...

One of the most anticipated horror films of 2024 was Terrifier 3 and its success is in sharp contrast to a growing issue with Hollywood movies. Following the financial success of Terrifier 2, Terrifier 3 goes bigger with a larger budget, plenty of kills, and expanded lore. With a production budget of only $2 milliona fraction of what most major franchise films haveTerrifier 3 earned back about 35 times its production budget globally.
Terrifier 3's box office climbed 2024's highest-grossing movies list domestically at $53 million. This puts it right behind Joker: Foile Deux, which made $58 million domestically; however, that sequel has a significantly larger production budget at $200 million. As a result, Joker 2 has a lackluster theatrical run while Terrifier 3 is a box office darling.
It's not just the Joker sequel that is performing poorly at the box office. In recent years, films that once would have been considered major successes are flopping.

Despite its humble beginnings, Fast & Furious has turned into one of the biggest action franchises in modern cinema, but ever since Furious 7, the saga has seemingly forgotten its biggest lesson from Vin Diesel and Paul Walker's exits. Dom Toretto (Diesel) and Brian O'Conner (Walker) have been the main protagonists of the franchise since the very first movie, but both characters have been absent from several projects. Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto was replaced by Roman Pearce in Fast & Furious' second outing, while Paul Walker has been written out of the recent films, having sadly passed away in 2013.
They also both missed Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift, which appeared to be a huge wake-up call for Universal, but despite initially learning from its mistakes, the saga continued even after Walker's death. While Fast & Furious 11 is set to end the box office juggernaut's main story, the IP has become so...
