Rugmini is a teenage girl. She was raped by her step father. Her mother had no other choice but to admit her to a brothel run by Sathya Bhai, who is a motherly figure to the inmates. There are several visitors at the brothel including a police inspector. He was deeply moved by Rugmini's innocence and became a father to her.
