  • First, Tera Patrick is both beautiful and an excellent performer. That said, nothing that she could have done would have made this piece of trash watchable, let alone entertaining. The action scenes are contrived with no hint of spontaneity. The rest of the girls are at best only average looking and the guys are, well, repulsive. Even the usually solid Mickey G is wasted here. If you're looking for a good adult movie, look elsewhere.
  • The many classic romantic videos released by Adam & Eve Prods. at the turn of this century often have a peculiar characteristic: the musical soundtrack appears to be the dominant contrast, with the accompanying XXX visuals seemingly secondary. That's more than strange in Adult Cinema, where increasingly porn is all, but one of the reasons Iove watching these fascinating artifacts.

An early hit for superstar Tera Patrick, "Caribbean Undercover" is a lavishly produced (all on location on the island of St. Martin) action movie, but without much action. Director Nicholas Steele leavens the performances and the pacing to a glacial level, all the more reason to listen to Saint's fabulous percussion soundtrack that casts a hypnotic spell.

It's the CIA vs. an evil smuggler (played by Evan Stone) and featuring a photogenic cast of Eastern European ladies in addition to future superstar Jessica Drake in a sexy but non-role humping her real-life beau Evan midway through the film. Luscious color photography is a major plus.

The DVD version includes a feature-length documentary on the production shot by Steven St. Croix, who is otherwise not present in the movie. It shows a hedonistic view of Adult film production, with featured player Mark Davis humping every girl in sight (not for the film but just on the set for the fun of it) and horseplay by Stone extending to him flogging Tera as the cast and crew chant the count, just like in those ritualistic bondage videos.
