la viuda de blanco with Osvaldo Rios and maria Helena doering it's the best soap opera that i have ever seen, starting by his story, Alicia guardiola was accused of being her husband killer,so when she left jail she fall in love with her brother in love diego blanco when it begins it developed an exciting story that you won't stop watching but you have to watch 1996 version not 2006 one cause i don't think the new version could reach the success of 1996's none actress could do it like maria Helena doering did, she have shown us a good acting she is the best actuaries i have no doubt moreover she is beautiful so she deserve another principal role....

lex15207 December 2006La viuda de Blanco (1996) is one of the best novelas I've seen in a long time. The 2006 version cannot compare to this one. The actress who plays the main character, Maria Helena Doering demonstrates beauty, class and elegance in her role, which is a rarity. She's an ex-model who not only shows her talent in acting, but can sing as well. This novela will grab your attention right from the beginning. The acting is wonderful, the storyline suspenseful (with a lot of twists) and the theme song is great! So if you're lucky to have this novela aired in your country, please watch it. I think when it first came out ten years ago, it was shown throughout the world so other countries have heard of it. One more thing, watch it for the twin boys; they are adorable!

Actually Alicia is not La Viuda de Blanco. It is a great surprise that she had not been married to a Blanco, though everyone, including herself thought so. The actual Viuda de Blanco is Doña Perfecta. And in fact the story is about Doña Perfecta and how she alienated all her children. The death of Hayde is the indispensable climax to this tragic story. Hayde was dissed by her mother, LVdB = Doña Perfecta. DP appears to be a character borrowed from 19th century Spanish literature in a novel by that name. DP repented just before the death of Hayde. DP tried to catch her before she left town to apologize and reconcile with Hayde. But it was too late. Hayde died in a tragic car accident. And that is the moral of the story. You must treat your loved ones well, because the time will come when you cannot make things right with them. Opportunities knock, and if you don"t take them, you may never get another chance. Hayde left a guy who loved her to go on a singing tour, vowing to return to him, but she died and never got the chance. DP is the true protagonist of the show. As a young woman, she scorned an opportunity to live with a man who loved her also and missed that opportunity.
At least the 2006 version was mostly a comedy. It began tragically with an auto accident, then went into a long comedy, but then ended with another tragic auto accident. The story is a great story. Unfortunately the 2006 production did not rise to the level of the story, though most of the actors were quite competent. -
I have seen that Telenovela many years ago, I have never been addicted to a soap opera like this before, Godddd!!! It was incredible, every thing about it was amazing, the storyline, the acting .......not to mention Maria Helena and Osvaldo Rios, they were amazing together....that telenovela made me laugh and made me cry (specially when Hyde died, I cried the whole day).....this soap opera is number one to me till now....I fell in love with it from the first episode, and because of it I'm now a student in Cervantes.
I have seen the new version of La Viuda De Blanco but it's nothing compared to the old one, no one can take place of Maria Helena, osvaldo rios or Yolandita............No way, Goddddd!!!! I adore this soap opera Soooooooo freaking much.............I have seen it several times and I have it on a video tape (actually several video tapes), and I still can't get enough of it. It's my all time favorite Telenovela ever, the best one I've ever seen in my whole life, I was totally crazy about it and still am, Alicia and Diego were my favorite characters of all time. And as I said there is no actress could do the lead character like maria Helena doering did, I'm a big fan of her and of course osvaldo rios and yolandita monge as well, the chemistry between them was out of this world and the Telenovela was a master hit. Besides, the 2 songs in that telenovela were amazing, heydee's song "tu tu tu tu" is my favorite Spanish song, it makes me cry because it reminds me of her death every time I listen to it, as for the second song which is the theme song; the duet between osvaldo rios and yolandita "tu y yo" is one of the best too. If I could, I would've gave this Telenovela 100 out of 100 . -
