A century before Captain Kirk's five-year mission, Jonathan Archer captains the United Earth ship Enterprise during the early years of Starfleet, leading up to the Earth-Romulan War and the formation of the Federation.
Graphic designer Michael Okuda made sure that over the course of the series, the graphics on the Enterprise computer monitors began to move closer to those on the original series Enterprise computer panels.
Patience is for the dead.
During the first season, Malcolm, (the weapons expert), is giving phase pistol lessons to Hoshi. During the lesson, all Bridge officers are called back to their stations. Hoshi makes a comment, so much for practice, and she hands the phase pistol back to Malcolm, her finger still on the trigger, and the muzzle of the phase pistol aimed directly into Malcolm's chest. No matter the century, or the weapon, this action ranks as the #1 safety violation of handling weapons. It is unlikely that Malcolm, the armory expert, would ignore this safety violation and not immediately reprimand Hoshi.
Opening credits are in alphabetical order. Fortunately, the name of series star Scott Bakula comes earlier in the alphabet than the others, so his name is still top-billed.
