Hrishikesh Mukherjee is one of my favorite directors. He has given us so many golden nuggets but this movie was way below his mark. So, in many ways disappointing. The characters weren't developed properly and the story was too one dimensional so it just dragged on and on leaving you relieved when it is over. The musical score wasn't much to write home about nor was the ending. I am not surprised it was declared a flop when released in the 70's.
