Goofs
The scene when Jacapo finds Edmond sleeping on the floor and asks if the scars on his back hurt, Edmond replies that after thirteen years of sleeping on a slab... The next scene Mondego's son exclaims that he is nearly sixteen years old. If he really is Edmond's son then he would have been born almost three years before Edmond was sent to prison.
Alternate Versions
The UK version had 6 seconds cut by the BBFC to earn a PG certificate instead of a 15. The cuts were to two shots of a man being hung.
