- Sita Sinha watches as her young son, Bihari fights another young, wealthy lad, Amar for spattering dirt on his body using his car. Sita then intervene, separates both, take them to her house only to make them embrace each other which eventually blossoms into friendship. Years later both grows up and they continue their affections for each other; Amar then gets married to wealthy Jaya while Bihari gets married to a female laborer. But shortcomings develop between both Amar and Bihari when Amar's businessman dad, Brij Bhushan Saxena instigated by his business partner schemes to create misunderstandings between both over a plot of land. - Sita Sinha (Sushma Seth) has brought up her son, Bihari and his friend, Amar as her own. The three are very close to each other. When they grow up they maintain their friendship and love for each other. Amar (Jeetendra) marries wealthy Jaya (Bhanupriya), and Bihari (Shatrughan Sinha) marries a labourer (Amrita Singh). Amar's dad, Mr. Saxena (Saeed Jaffrey) does not like Bihari, and schemes to separate them. He succeeds, and Bihari is humiliated.
