A fire-fighting cadet, two college professors, and a geeky but sexy government scientist work against an alien organism that has been rapidly evolving since its arrival on Earth inside a meteor.
The three main characters perform a commercial for "Head and Shoulders". The idea to this came from Jason Reitman, the son of Ivan Reitman.
Wayne Grey:
Despite all the warnings, she was smoking in bed, fell asleep. Bad move.

(at around 21 mins) During the "class trip" to the meteor crash site, the gas that the flatworms breath is clinging very low to the ground. Yet, in the very next scene, after they have collected some of the worms and a sample of the atmosphere in a jar, the gas is clearly floating at the top of the jar with the worms having to reach up to breath it.
