Benjamin Barry is an advertising executive and ladies' man who, to win a big campaign, bets that he can make a woman fall in love with him in 10 days. Andie Anderson covers the "How To" beat for "Composure" magazine and is assigned to write an article on "How to Lose a Guy in 10 days." They meet in a bar shortly after the bet is made.
Katherine Heigl is one of the models on the covers of a "Composure Magazine" during the sequence of magazine covers at the beginning.
Jeannie Ashcroft:
"And only then will the people of Tajikistan know true and lasting peace." Andie, it's brilliant. It's really moving. But it's never going to appear in Composure Magazine.
At the Knicks game, Andie asks Ben for a soda. He doesn't want to get it because there is only 1:09 left in the game. They then briefly cut to a shot of the court and the game clock says 7:53.
