  • Scooby and the gang stumble into another mystery involving aliens, government scientists, a suspicious coffee shop cook, a waitress with a crush on Freddy, a cranky garage mechanic, a crazy old man convinced he was abducted by aliens, a nature photographer and her dog.

While this episode follows the same basic formula as the last two Scooby films ("SD on Zombie Island" and "SD & The Witch's Ghost"), there is a new element added: Shaggy and Scooby fall in love. They meet a nature photographer (Crystal) and her dog (Amber) in the desert fall head-over-heels. There is a really fun song Shaggy sings while fantasizing about his and Scooby's lives with Crystal and Amber which is a whole side of Shaggy never seen before.

This film is much more light-hearted that its two predecessors and the villains aren't nearly as wicked as Simone & Lena (Zombie Island) or Ben Ravencroft (Witch's Ghost). Freddy pops off some genuinely funny sarcastic remarks throughout the movie and there are a couple of good pokes at the original TV series ("meddling kids", paint-job on the van, etc.)

Sadly, this will be the last film that features Mary Kay Bergman as the voice of Daphne. She died last November and the ending credit of the film dedicates the film "In Loving Memory of Mary Kay Bergman". She did an admirable job as Daphne and the makers of these films will be hard-pressed to find a worthy replacement.

A must-see for any respectable Scooby fan!

I don't remember when it happened, but long ago, I think my mom bought me some Scooby-Doo movies. One was a DVD pack of 3 movies that included; Abracadabra-Doo, Goblin King, and Alien Invaders. The other was Camp Scare. The following movies will not be reviewed. Camp Scare will remain ingrained in my brain for the rest of my natural born life, Goblin King will always be known as one of my least favorite Scooby-Doo movies, and Abracadabra-Doo will always be a fun little romp through a Harry Potter cash-in. This one really hits me hard. I've always been a fan of aliens, cryptids, and the supernatural, so Alien Invaders is basically a staple movie of my childhood. Here's the plot of the movie. The Gang drive along the desert to god knows where for god knows why. They have themselves an extraterrestrial encounter, when an alien ship hovers above the Mystery Machine. They stop in the middle of the dessert to get help in the nearest town, but Shaggy and Scooby decide to stay behind. There they spot a jackalope that barely has an effect on the plot and the aliens, who are actually rastafaliens. They get chased by the big green men, and they're almost caught, until they reach the diner. There they meet Dolly, Lester, and Surge. Shaggy and Scooby pig out on donuts, while Fred, Velma, and Daphne listen in on the story of how Lester got proved by the aliens. Lester offers to show the gang pictures of the ship and they agree to follow him. They find out that the only pictures he has are paintings, as Lester is a landscape artiste. They're's no hotels in the town, so Lester lets them stay at his place. He lets Shaggy and Scooby sleep on the roof, for some reason, and the two get kidnapped by the aliens. They're's a scene in the ship, and then they wake up to meet a girl and her dog, Crystal and Amber. If there's anything the movie lacks is in it's plot and mystery, there's nothing really going on. It's like a stretched out episode of What's New, before What's New was even a thing. The mystery is also not interesting, as you only care about two things, aliens and hippie women. Many people consider this the worst of the four Mook Animation Scooby movies, but I like it. I see what they mean, but this is the one I most remember and like. The other's never rang with me like this one did. There animation is also really good, although it's lighter in tone compared to Zombie Island and Witch's Ghost. Let me just comment on the music here, it's good. How Groovy will always be a tune that is stuck in my head, and for personal reasons. I'm a fan of 90s pop, and also a fan of juvenile lovey-dovey stuff. Every time Shaggy says Shaggy Jr., I go like, why couldn't this have actually been a thing. Jennifer Love Hewitt's rendition of the Scooby-Doo is kind on the ears, it could be worse, like in Cyber Chase. That song during the cave chase scene is also good, it really doesn't stand out as much as the other two songs. I didn't even remember that it was in the movie. There are also some pretty enjoyable characters. Lester, Dolly, Amber, Shaggy, and Scooby. All of them, not counting Scooby and Shaggy, are people who definitely need more screen time like the Hex Girls from last movie. Fred, Daphne, and the SALF employees are okay, and there are parts of the movie where Velma says some cringe-worthy stuff that I'd rather not mention here. There's also a mechanic who barely does anything. He fixes the gang's van and he collects pressed flowers. I love Crystal. She should be apart of the gang, she didn't deserve to be treated like a secondary character in a franchise that doesn't appreciate those kind of people. While she is pretty basic and weird, you'll know why if you watch the ending, she's got this weird little charm on her. She's a very likable character and her relationship with Shaggy is one of the greatest things to ever happen to the Scooby-Doo franchise, even if it was for a short amount of time. It may be sappy, but it gets me, when I see her leave at the end of the movie, as well as leaving the franchise forever. This may not be a good movie in terms of plot, but what it lacks it makes up for it with charm and likability. I give it a 6/10. Any of the Scooby-Doo writers reading this, bring back Crystal and Amber. --JoshTheCelluloader.

The third of the Mook Animation Scooby-Doo movies is another great one. People thought that Scooby-Doo couldn't be frightening, but then along came "Zombie Island." People then thought that Scooby-Doo couldn't affect them on an emotional level, but that's just what this movie did.

We get to see a side of Shaggy and Scooby we had never seen before. In this film, Shaggy falls in love with a hippie named Crystal, and Scooby falls in love with Crystal's dog, Amber. Meanwhile, the rest of the gang is trying to solve a mystery involving aliens that may have been spotted.

The true stand-out in this film is Shaggy and Crystal's charming and heartwarming romance. It feels very real and gets you invested in it. They have more chemistry than Fred and Daphne could ever hope to have.

The animation is once again spectacular, and the landscapes are nice to look at and very well-detailed.

The "groovy" song that played in the middle of the film was one of the sweetest songs I've ever heard and the ending where it's revealed that Crystal and Amber are aliens is very heartbreaking, making you really feel for Shaggy and Scooby.

One issue with the film is that the mystery is very basic and rather forgettable. That does hold it back a little.

However, this was still another great entry in this beloved franchise. While it doesn't match "Zombie Island," I'd say it's about on par with "Witch's Ghost." Highly recommended for Scooby-Doo fans.

    RATING: B+
  • Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders is something that is very different from the other Scooby-Doo films I've ever seen. The reason is that this one has the love stories of Shaggy and Scooby. Before I've watched this one, normally, what I always see is the love story of Daphne, Fred and even Velma's, I've seen. But I've never seen Shaggy's in love and also Scooby. Until this one, I always wondered what's gonna be like if Shaggy fell in love. In this one, I got the answer to that question.

The way Shaggy falls in love is somehow cute, but also, somehow disgusting. But cute part is more. So, I'd say it's still OK. It's just sad to see that their loves flew away. Literally, they flew away into space. Shaggy and Scooby are left on earth. It's really kind of terrible and sad. I really want them to be together.

What I love is that Shaggy is still OK with her even though he knows the truth about her. And also, Scooby. The last scene of their love stories is really touchable and it's so sad. I really pity them. On the other hand, I really don't like Velma's voice artist. Her voice is small and a bit sharp to listen. I really like that nowadays, they always choose the ones with deep voice for Velma character. I feel like it's the best. So, Velma's voice artist's voice is kind of annoying. Somehow, I couldn't even listen that much. Thus, if they have chosen the other voice artist, it'd be better.

All in all, Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders needs things to improve. I feel like it's kind of boring. I watched this one a few days ago. At that time, I had to stop watching for a while. Last night, I continued to watch, but last night, it was just after I've finished my dinner, so, I wanted to sleep. Thus, I stopped watching. Just this afternoon, I watched again and finally, I've finished it. Hence, I'd say, it's a bit boring that I couldn't finish it in one sit. That being said, it's still OK because it can give the audience a different view and various feelings. And so, to conclude this review, although it's a little bit boring, it's kind of enjoyable.
  • This one hurt a bit.

I mean, there were jokes that made the whole movie worth watching. Unfortunately those jokes weren't enough to really break the Alien thing.

Watching it I wanted the return of the masks, at least then it wouldn't have hurt so bad after the first two.

Instead we had introduced dead-end characters that we meaningless at the end, no real advancement, and a plot that was trying far too hard to be science fiction and not nearly hard enough to be Scooby Doo.
  • The mystery may be a little weaker than in previous Scooby movies but this is still well worth your time and showcases the huge potential in the revamped Scooby franchise.

The Mystery Inc. gang break down in the desert (déjà vu?) and have to stay the night in a nearby town where the locals rant about aliens kidnapping cattle. So obviously they are up for investigation.

I still don't like those stupid sound effects that are STILL (!!!!!!) used when Scooby or Shaggy BEGIN to run away. You know what I'm talking about. It sounds like someone rattling a quarter around in a tin can. It's pretty lame, considering all the thought and effort that has went into updating the franchise, that these old-fashioned and cruddy sound effects are being used in this day and age.

But that aside there is a lot of fun to be had as Shaggy falls in love (his song is way cool), is kidnapped by the aliens along with Scooby and the gang suspecting a rather unfriendly mechanic.

Scooby Doo is going places (even further if they do away with those sound effects) and next time the writers should focus more on plot and mystery as this one was wrapped up in a disappointingly short 74 minutes. The movies that followed progressively got weaker and weaker.
  • I love Scooby-doo & like most i grew up watching him & the Awesome mystery team & i found the best of the Scooby-doo direct-to-video movies are, Zombie Island & The Witch's Ghost & The Alien Invaders, Those three earlier movies had the best animation in my opinion & the colours pop off the screen with vibrancy.

There's a cosy Nostalgic feel to just getting cosy & making a nice cup of coffee & watching a Scooby-doo movie. The best three movies of the whole franchise are the first three made by a Japanese animation studio which are: Zombie Island, The Witch's Ghost & Alien Invaders. The Ultimate Scooby-doo Trilogy.

I had a dvd boxet with those three together & watched them all countless times. Love them.

I liked the old fashioned B-movie vibe of this movie & the Awesome B-movie music that accompanied & made the atmosphere feel exciting & full of mystery.

Scooby-doo & the gang get mixed up with a mystery involving Aliens & that's all you need to know .

Simply a great Scooby-doo animated movie.

I definitely recommend: The Witch's Ghost, Zombie Island, Camp Scare, Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog.
  • Warning: Spoilers
This movie is a work of art it is a perfect 10/10 film the overarching story between this film and the extended scooby doo cinematic universe is uncanny the love between shaggy and that one hippie was beautiful(and she even had a dog) i would recommend you watch this film over and over until you really begin to feel the love for it( or your tv breaks) this may have have come out in 2000 but even in 2019 it is the best film to come out and a straight masterpiece at that.
  • I was initially just expecting this 2000 "Scooby-Doo" animated movie to be a run-of-the-mill archetypical one in the bunch of all the other animated stories. But still, as I hadn't already seen it, of course I opted to watch it.

And color me impressed. Writers Davis Doi, Glenn Leopold and Lance Falk put together one of the better stories and plots that I have seen in the many, many "Scooby-Doo" animated movies that I have seen. I was genuinely surprised with the writing and the plot in "Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders". And I have to admit that I was pleasantly entertained throughout the course of the 74 minutes that the animated movie ran for.

The voice acting in "Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders" was good, though it was not the familiar voices of the more recent animated movies. But there were some familiar voices here and there, with the likes of Frank Welker, Mark Hamill and Kevin Michael Richardson.

The animation and art style in "Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders" is good, and it is the familiar style used in the franchise. So that definitely adds to the overall enjoyment of the animated movie.

If you enjoy "Scooby-Doo" animated movies or series, then you definitely have to sit down and watch the 2000 "Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders". It was nice to see a plot that broke the usual formula with the ending.

My rating of director Jim Stenstrum's 2000 animated movie "Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders" lands on a seven out of ten stars.
  • Not much to say. Not much to hate on, not much to love. This is just like a "whatever" to me.

It's the another masterpiece Scooby doo Movie. With Some new creatures.
  • 'Scooby Doo And The Alien Invaders (2000)' is perhaps the least iconic of Jim Stenstrum's 'Scooby Doo' movies, and it's also arguably the least successful. However, it's still an entertaining and endearing experience that makes good use of its well-established characters. Though the central mystery is a bit weak and its outcome is (mostly) fairly easy to predict, the piece moves at a suitably fast pace and even subverts some of the expectations its audience may have after seeing its two predecessors. It's filled with charming and chuckle-worthy moments, mostly surrounding the things Scooby Doo and the self-proclaimed 'Shag man' do in an effort to get laid. In all seriousness, though, it's quite heartwarming to see our usually laid-back (or scared witless) heroes fall head over heels in love. An enjoyable, though slightly strained, mid-point musical sequence highlights Shaggy's fairly immature romantic fantasies, and it's surprisingly wholesome to see the duo attempt to protect their newfound friends in the film's cave-based finale. It does feel as though the rest of Mystery Inc. Are relegated to the sidelines for most of the piece, but they still have their moments to shine and are as iconic as ever. Ultimately, this is a consistently fun and occasionally funny animated adventure. It's perhaps the least successful of Stenstrum's four 'Scooby Doo' features, but it's still an enjoyable experience from beginning to end. 7/10.

I love Scooby Doo but I couldn't watch this! Everyone sounds so strangled. Barely 5 minutes in and I had to stop. Yeesh! Who did the casting? Shaggy and Scooby are trying too hard and Velma sounds like a 15 year old.

    Warning: Spoilers
I have to say I have always loved Scooby Doo and I will always love Scooby Doo and if you also love Scooby Doo you will not be disappointed with this movie. Let me get started by saying that the storyline the movie follows is very cool and interesting, I found that it was very well written and came out good on screen. The animation in this movie is very well done all of the characters are very well drawn and look good. The voice over actors are very good such as Scott Innes as Scooby Doo and Shaggy, Mary Kay Bergman as Daphne, Frank Welker as Fred, B.J. Ward as Velma, and they even have Mark Hamil as Steve. The voice over actors do a great job with there voices and sound great. So make sure you rent or buy Scooby doo and the Alien Invaders.

Overall Score: ********* out of **********

    ****1/2 out of *****

Some may consider this a spoiler so that is why I saved it for last. I have to say how I liked the way they used both real and fake aliens in this movie, The main villains were people in masks and if you watch the movie you will see how they used real aliens.
  • I loved this movie, when it came out, and despite one or two minor flaws, it is like a trip down Memory Lane. The animation is faultless, and i loved the music in the opening credits, with the planets, totally relevant to the title of the film. The voice talents, as is usually the case with the Scooby movies, save a couple of exceptions are excellent, a notable standout being Mark Hamill as Steve. Jeff Bennett was also really entertaining as Lester, and I loved the constant fighting over the Scooby snacks. The plot, overall was good, not the best, but those aliens to a young child are pretty scary. My only complaints are the sweet but rather soppy love song in the diner, and although I liked the romance between Shaggy and Crystal, it got a little distracting from the plot. All in all, I really liked it, and I hope it has a decent rating like Witch's Ghost and Goblin King. 8/10 Bethany Cox
  • Warning: Spoilers
Scooby-Doo was always one of those cartoons I occasionally watched when it came on TV, even when it lessened in quality thanks to the awful yapping of Scrappy-Doo, Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island was a fairly good revival feature, and this was another feature for Scooby and the gang. Basically, the Mystery, Inc. gang are driving through Roswell, New Mexico when they are caught in a dust storm, forcing Shaggy (Scott Innes) to make a wrong turn onto government property. The gang see a UFO fly over them, causing The Mystery Machine to crash, and the radiator is damaged. While Scooby-Doo (Scott Innes) and Shaggy stay with the van, Fred Jones (Frank Welker), Daphne Blake (Mary Kay Bergen), and Velma Dinkley (B.J. Ward) walk to the nearby town to look for help. Shaggy and Scooby argue about the last Scooby Snack left, which is eaten by a mythical animal called a jackalope. They chase the jackalope into a cave, where they see a low in the darkness, and they encounter two large green aliens. They flee the cave and run into the diner in a panic and tell all inside about the aliens. The waitress, Dottie (Jennifer Hale), says that many people claim to have seen aliens, she says she has only seen or heard strange things at night. The chef, Sergio (Neil Ross), says that a month ago, some local cattle vanished without a trace, and many moved out of town. A local man named Lester (Jeff Bennett) believes Scooby and Shaggy, claiming that he was abducted himself near Scorpion Ridge. He also claims to have pictures, but they turn out to be his own paintings. He tells the gang that there have been numerous reports of UFO sightings and disappearing livestock since the installation of three SALF (Search for Alien Life Forms) satellite dishes. Lester offers to let the gang stay the night, but with limited space, Shaggy and Scooby are forced to sleep on the roof. Later that night, they are abducted. Waking in an alien spaceship, the aliens try to interrogate and examine them, they try to escape, but they are cornered and pass out. They wake up in the middle of the desert and are found by a hippie Native American photographer named Crystal (Candi Milo), and her golden retriever, Amber. Shaggy and Scooby immediately fall in love with them, before meeting up with the rest of the gang at the diner. The gang go to see local mechanic Buck (Neil Ross) to see if they can get their van fixed, the mechanic is moody and rude, but says he will work on it when he can. While Shaggy and Scooby take Crystal and Amber to find the jackalope they saw, Fred, Daphne and Velma go to visit the SALF station. During the tour, Velma becomes suspicious of the SALF workers, Steve (Mark Hamill), Max (Kevin Michael Richardson) and Laura (Audrey Wasilewski), seeing dried mud on their shoes (they are in the desert, and they are inside a clean facility all day and night), and they previously bought oil that was the wrong kind for hydraulics. Meanwhile, while looking for the jackalope, Scooby, Shaggy, Crystal, and Amber are confronted by two government MPs, who force them to leave. However, Crystal reveals that she is government agent, with Amber a government trained canine, undercover investigating alien sightings in the area, but Scooby and Shaggy agree to help them. Lester picks up Fred, Daphne, and Velma from the SALF station, and drops them of at the canyon of Scorpion Ridge, where Velma believes there may be a river at the bottom of the gorge. Scooby and his party enter the cave where they previously saw a glow, and at the same time, Fred, Daphne, and Velma enter the same cave from another entrance. Both groups find mining equipment and a massive amount of gold, before being chased by aliens. Fred, Velma, and Daphne are captured, but Shaggy, Scooby, Crystal, and Amber escape. The aliens reveal themselves to be the SALF crew, who explain that they stumbled upon the gold mine while looking for a location for another satellite dish. As they were the only ones who knew about the gold, and the mine was located on government property, they decided to keep it for themselves and not report it. They disguised themselves as aliens and hired the two fake MPs to keep people away, bought a chopper and dressed it up as a UFO, and created a spaceship interior to fool people. The fake MPs corner Scooby, Shaggy, Crystal, and Amber, but they are scared away when Crystal and Amber reveal themselves to be real aliens. After the SALF workers and fake MPs are defeated and captured, Crystal and Amber explain themselves. They came to Earth investigating the signals from the SALF dishes, the UFO that ran the Mystery Machine off the road was their ship, and they are disguised as hippies as they watched television broadcasts from the 1960s. Soon, Crystal and Amber say a heartfelt goodbye as they board their ship back to their home planet, leaving Scooby and Shaggy heartbroken. The SALF workers and fake MPs are arrested, and the Mystery Machine is brought back fixed. Scooby and Shaggy are immediately back to their old selves when offered a box of Scooby Snacks, and they all drive away as the alien ship speeds across the sky one last time. Featuring "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!" by Jennifer Love Hewitt, and "How Groovy" by Scott Innes (as Shaggy) and "The Aliens Are Here" by The Hippos. This will please all fans of the original series, especially those who enjoy the antics of Scooby-Doo and Shaggy, the love story for them is nice, if a little schmaltzy. This is a good back to basics romp for Scooby and the gang, with good animation, a little slapstick and a fairly good story that is fun for all the family, besides the cheesy stuff, it is an enjoyable enough animated adventure. Scooby-Doo was number 8 on The 100 Greatest Kids' TV Shows, and he was number 49 on The 100 Greatest Cartoons. Worth watching!
  • All the elements for a great Scooby movie are present. Additionally, there's a bit of a love story, plot twists, and music (The Aliens Are Here, How Groovy) to round out the fun. Animation/effects are nicely done, all characters are represented well, voices are right on, the story was well thought-through.

Top shelf Scooby next to Zombie Island. It could've used a could more rocking tracks, but still plenty of reasons to re-watch.
  • Not as good as the other Scooby's though i do like all the voices. Its obvious who is the aliens. Could do without the on screen romance. Like Innes as shaggy & Scooby and BJ Ward. There is a jackalope which is cool. Lester has an annoying voice. Other than him no one else is really annoying. Shaggy & Scooby get abducted by aliens! Or so they think. Aliens. Not the gorgeous Predator ones either. The hippie chick & her mutt i can really do without. Annoying. I don't care for hippies on a good day. Always trying to hook up Shaggy & Scooby. Just let them alone. The 3 villains are annoying too. The ending is not the best because really - there are no aliens.
  • Warning: Spoilers
From every Warner bros VHS i had, there would always a trailer for the alien invaders, it looked creepy and cool and my siblings and i, just had to watch it, after the first viewing, it became one of our personal favorites. Spoiler, there are real Aliens in this movie! They even start the movie with techs at a SETI radio station. The gang are on one of their classic road trips that always puts me in the mood for a road trip for some reason, when suddenly a UFO passes over them and their van dies in the middle of the dessert. On the way to town, they spot even more strange things, such as a jacaloupe ( a rabbit with antlers) near a mountain shaped like a scorpion. When they reach the towns diner, they meet some colorful characters, one being a supposed alien abductee named Lester, whose got to have the funniest lines in the movie. in one scene he tells the gang about his abduction and then the volume mutes, when he talks about the experiments they did on him with the gangs shocked expressions, im assuming hes talking about the "physical" that is later mentioned in the movie. he is shown to be a stereotypical UFO nut, but a interesting and hilarious one! Shaggy and scooby are eventually abducted by the aliens, who look like broccoli men, but still have their intimidating moments. the next morning they wake up in the dessert where they meet a hippie girl named Crystal and her dog amber, scooby and shaggy fall instantly in love. Surprisingly ive come to realize shaggy has had quite a lot of girlfriends in the scooby doo franchise, but crystal has got to be the most memorable besides isla fisher of course. The romance in this movie is very sappy but charming, the song Groovy will basically tell you that ( shaggy imagines having a ty dye wedding with all of the gang present, and having a life with Crystal, but unlike other love struck cartoon characters he doesn't forget about involving his best friend, since scooby doo is still present in his fantasy; that to me is very thoughtful). The gang meanwhile go to a SETI radio station, where they meet 3 very nice techs, one is played by the always awesome to hear mark Hamill. Eventually the mystery takes place in a abandoned gold mine with still tons of gold, that the aliens have been mining. As it turns out the 3 techs are the aliens, which is surprisingly revealed very early, they even show their story of how they found the mine on the federal land and faked the alien hoaxes. Also as it turns out these are the 3 greediest sons of bi******** in all of the scooby doo franchise! Not only are they probably millionaires from all the gold, they said they stole cattle and sold them too, but when they meet the real aliens, they decide to capture them to make even more money!!!! The real mystery is why they even bothered to stay working at SETI, and not just buy the whole state! I digress, i promised real aliens, in the climax, a impressive fight happens with the real aliens. Their transformation sequences are equally impressive to look at, and when their real ship arrives the animation is stunning. The aliens departure is very stunning animation and it leaves me in awe every time. I feel the creators saved their best animation for the right moments in this movie, the songs are very nice, the characters are all great, and this is a very special scooby doo movie that always abducts me every time i watch it.
  • The Scooby Doo mystery gang is back with Velma, Fred, Daphne, Scooby Doo and Shaggy to solve another mystery. When their mystery van breaks down in the desert, they learn that they may not be alone as if aliens. Scooby Doo and Shaggy fall in love with Crystal and Amber. The movie is entertaining and different from another films. The film is an entertaining adventure with the Scooby Doo gang and an alien concept. The film is just light-hearted entertainment with Mark Hamill as one of the voices.
  • I was hoping this one would be better than the Witch's Ghost but it was just as okay. Nothing really drew me to this one other than the Shaggy and Crystal, and Scooby and Amber moments. It was cute to see them both in love with the two girls. The story was not great and needed some reconstructing. I felt like the mystery wasn't even really there. And the ending scene again was so long just like with the Witch's Ghost. Overall, it's a watchable movie with some good laughs.
  • Warning: Spoilers
I liked Scooby-Doo and the Alien invaders. A whole new mystery in the lines of ZOMBIE ISLAND and WITCH'S GHOST. But Cassey Cassum's presence lacking still keeps this from being a perfect 10. But other cast members do a great job. The aliens are cool, ugly but cool. The clues works and the excitement never dampers. If you love Scooby-Doo and the other Scooby Movies, then you must add this to your collection. The animation is perfect and all the classic characters are there. Now if you aren't a Scooby-Fan, then this isn't the movie for you. But if you never saw anything Scooby related, then this is a good place to start. 9 STARS.
  • An avid fan of Scooby Doo that I am, this movie is the one! Despite the changes, Scott Innes doing Casey Kasem's role as Shaggy this movie is fantastic. He and Scooby meet the woman and dog of their dreams. The team investigate a mysterious sighting where the locals are not speaking. As for Shaggy and Scooby, I liked the video they made called "Groovy", I could agree with them more. The duo were worth the save when then dirty feds try to do them harm. And I think when Shaggy spiffies up, everyone should call him by his real name: Norville. I was very surprised when the the duo were alien agents, they were stuck in the fashion time warp which Shaggy lived in. And it was a heart wrencher when they left. But I wondered who was affected more, Shaggy and Scooby? or Fred? That part was sad, but it was even sadder that Mary Kay Bergen had passed on. That to me was a bigger heart wrencher. Despite of it all, it was a very good movie. Don't feel bad guys, the whole thing will indeed make your day. Enjoy it with all your Scooby Doo cartoon classics. A REAL KEEPER. SCOOBY-DOOBY DOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Rating 4 out of 5 stars.
  • I could not have been more pleased with the new Scooby Doo film and yet so disappointed at the same time. The film's producer Davis Doi made a wonderful decision to stick with traditional Scooby Doo plot lines and character set up. This was a big plus in the films favour. I however found it difficult to accept the spiced up 90's graphics and the radical voice changes. Don't get me wrong, the film is still spectacular, but it must be watched with an open mind. Watch for a classic seen when Scooby imitates a vicious rattlesnake.
  • Warning: Spoilers
This was a great plotline, nothing wrong with it all, I liked seeing a different side of Shaggy and Scooby that we haven't seen before. They combined stereotypical aliens stereotypes with many original ideas and it worked really well. Congratulations to them.
