  • What can you expect when you have Andres García, Maribel Guardia, Sergio Goyri, Sasha Montenegro, Resortes and such a wonderful, sticky and great song??? A very interesting movie. Specially the end. This should be in your top ten mexican movies more than anything.

Should not be missed!!! More than any mexican movie around.

Honestly, I believe that very few films of this genre have managed to pass into popular culture as Pedro Navajas has done. In fact, I believe that this film was immortalized in part because of the great song that accompanied the film.

Andres Garcia is not one of my favorite actors, but we cannot deny that his bearing, his presence and his character helped him a lot in many of his characters, in this case much more, since the main character is a pimp and a rude pimp aside, Therefore I think it was the best role he could play in his acting career.

The performances of Sasha Montenegro and Edgardo Gazcon also stand out, two actors who at the time were among the most important nationally and whose performance was an important part of this film, which offers a lot of support for the roles of the main characters.

The ending is iconic, although it does not have the best quality, the fact that the main song matched the scene as such seems incredible to me and blows my mind a lot, because for me personally it is a determining factor for the end of the movie and Of the plot.

I'm going to give it a rating of 6/10 partly because of the memories it brings of an unorthodox Mexico and partly because it was very representative of those years of pop culture.

    Warning: Spoilers
This movie is one of the best i seen. Its up there with scarface. Pedro Navaja is a true Playa, Hustla, Pimp. More so than Bishop Don Magic Juan. Crazy-ass movie, really illustrates the reality of Mexico city in the late 70's. There is all these knife fights (i mean his name is does mean knife). This movie has everything, a bit of comedy, knife fights, shootouts with the cops, hookers, and a GREAT sex scene. All these people die but they deserved it they was all guilty. Its like Dolemite mixed with scarface. A must watch if your a fan of pimp movies. Watch it with ya friends , or with misses. Just go out and watch it. GO RENT IT RIGHT NOW.
  • This movie was pretty much hard to find itself but now it's part of my collection,It tells the story of a man named Pedro and is called Pedro "Navajas" it's the Latin name for Mack "The Knife", so Pedro played masterfully by Andres Garcia, he is a player, a pimp, he has a lot of women working for him on the streets and he gets his money that way, He is the ultimate playboy, a real hustler,But he's not the only one, There's "El Cumbias" played by Sergio Goyri his rival and his Teacher in the arts of prostitution,He has a brother and a "Girlfriend" who is played by Maribel Guardia before she looks fantastic, she even makes a half naked scene that looks awesome,There's a dancer named "La Tijuana" played by Sasha Montenegro and she has a superb body, she gets completely nude in this flick, we can say that it gets erotic at some point, police is always going for Pedro and he gives them a bribe and they let him go, he is a modern robin hood because he helps everybody and everybody worship Pedro, it's a must see to see what reality was in the streets of Mexico in the late 70's.To finish the number they play it's original song's theme PEDRO NAVAJA and they act exactly what the song is saying at the same time, cool coordination of events at the end.

Sorry to say but this movie was originated cause of the song Pedro Navaja and that song talks about New York City and not Mexico.

The Pedra Navaja's song has nothing to do with Mexico, that song was written thinking of New York.

listen to the song at the end, and you see.

so for you to say that "it's a must see to see what reality was in the streets of Mexico in the late 70's" that is a bunch of lies. please be honest, the movie it self has nothing to do with the song, cause like I mentioned before this song PEDRO NAVAJA was written thinking about New York and not Mexico. and no where in the song mentioned that pedro navaja was a pimp.

the girl was a prostitute not she was not his girl. she was just a prostitute that happened to be out on the streets at the same time pedro navaja was looking for a victim. please get real. papi..
