I watched this masterpiece minieseries on west German TV, when I was 13 years old. It was action packed, informative, all the characters like Pancho Villa, Emiliano Zapata, General Huerta, Carranza,Presidente P.Diaz just to name a few, where exceptional well portrait. This miniseries would have put any Hollywood production in it's shadow. It was that good. Suspenseful, detail oriented, and that all on a very slim budged. This is the marvels that only noncomercial government run studios could pull off. Location was probably italy, spain or yugoslavia. Because it is now more then 30 years ago, that I watched all three 120 minute episodes, I do not remember the German ZDF actors and actresses anymore, only that they did an excellent job. I voted a 10 out of 10 for this series.
