Dharmendra and Jeetendra reunite after JAAN HATHELI PE (1987)

Dharmendra and Jeetendra play two lovable crooks Ajay and Vijay who meet Manohar (Avinash Wahadawan) in jail Manohar is going to be hanged for a crime he didn't commit

Ajay and Vijay discover that Manohar had been trapped by Dinesh Lal (Shakti Kapoor), his brother Dhani Lal (Prem Chopra), Dhani Lal's business partner Sohan Lal (Anupam Kher) and corrupt Inspector Imaandar (Kader Khan).

They plan to save Manohar by breaking his leg and sending him to hospital to delay his hanging punishment Ajay charms Dhani Lal's daughter Rani (Bhanu Priya) while Vijay becomes Dinesh Lal's bodyguard and later falls in love with Imaandarr's daughter Sheela (Anita Raj)

The film was enjoyable and i gave it a 8/10

Insaf Ki Pukar review :

Not many of you may be aware of this film so let me introduce you to Insaf Ki Pukar featuring the Dharam Veer wali jodi in a typical 80s style actioner - south ka tadka maar ke.

Dharam and Jeetendra played friendly goons who help Avinash Wadhawan (credited as Rakesh Wadhawan) who is falsely implicated in a rape and murder case. Anita Raj and Bhanupriya formed their love interests.

The film is highly entertaining with some great comedy by Kader Khan playing a corrupt inspector named Imaandaar. "Beimaani ka kaam bhi main immandaari se karta hoon", he says. Prem Chopra and Anupam Kher are the main villains while Shakti Kapoor is their rapist bro. Filled with diverse masala from taming of the shrew kinda love to a treasure hunt climax, Insaf Ki Pukar guarantees complete entertainment if you leave logic aside.

A couple of songs by Laxmikant Pyarelal are hummable. I particularly love Jeetu and the sexy looking Bhanupriya sizzle in the disco with "Aa mere dil jaani. Aa aayee hai jawaani".

Insaf Ki Pukar had all ingredients of typical 80s actioner and the Dharam - Jeetu chemistry worked perfectly for it. The film became a decent box office success of its time. Surprisingly, it is never played on satellite tv nor available on OTT app. I think an abridged version is available on YouTube which you can try out.

Typical 80s Bollywood Multistarrer

Typical 80s style Bollywood pot boiler with stars, glamor, action, song-dance routine,loud comedy and some emotional conflict. Our leading men, Jeetu and Dharam are kind hearted con-men who are on a mission to save an innocent young man, convicted for a murder he did not commit. Towards the end, the movie turns out to be a typical revenge drama. Dharmendra shows good comedy timing, but looks too old to play to play a romantic lead. Jeetu is his usual wooden self, but looks dashing and energetic. The girls are mere glamorous props, but Bhanupriya looks beautiful and dances gracefully. It is a pity that she never achieved stardom in Bollywood.
