UNDULATIONS is assembly line porn from Carlos Tobalina, a correctly ignored '70s pornographer who is currently riding a contrived wave of interest via reissues from Vinegar Syndrome, fueled by the "lucky" circumstance of that company selling its XXX material on amazon.com, while most of its competing distributors are banned from that bent-on-world-domination website.
This haphazardly thrown together feature has various random sex scenes, best of which features loops superstar Suzannah French (whose mixed-combo stag 14- INCH ROOT is a classic) opposite Brooke West in lesbian embrace.
Main story revolves around the title TV series, a forerunner of the crap spawned in recent decades on pay-Cable services. It features a round-table of stars like Mai Lin, Kitty Shayne (never getting accurate billing), John Holmes and Jamie Gillis, discussing sex and eventually descending to the standard Tobalina orgy scene. Both Gillis and Holmes extemporaneously deliver a load of self-serving b.s., and the net "insider" effect is dubious. Holmes coins the term "sexual athlete" to describe what he does for a living, but the more I see of these self- analysis sessions the more I become convinced that sex film performing is merely a subset of prostitution.
Every once in awhile the viewer at home is represented by a comically cross- eyed (unfunny gags) guy and startled looking horny lady played by Tobalina regular Maria Pia. I'm not sure what the effect was on a cinema audience back 35 years ago unfortunate enough to be sitting through this feature, but a "visionary" (insert relevant degree of sarcasm here) like Carlos knows best.
