Larry David has done it again. The comedian, best known for the sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm, has delivered a subtle yet powerful troll aimed at President Donald Trump’s recent dinner with comedian and political commentator Bill Maher.
In a cleverly veiled jab at this political moment, David not only takes a dig at Trump but also at his fellow comedian in an essay published in The New York Times.

The move comes as Warner Bros. Discovery is trying to maximize the profit potential of its flagship streaming service.
Account sharing has been a thorn in the collective craw of streaming executives for years, and each company has tried to figure out its own unique way to maximize subscription income without alienating users who had grown accustomed to using someone else’s password. On Tuesday, Warner Bros. Discovery announced that in an effort to provide subscribers more flexibility in how they manage who does and doesn’t have access to their account, the company’s flagship streaming service Max would be introducing a new Extra Member Add-On feature.
Key Details: More the merrier: Max is now allowing many subscribers to add users to their accounts who live outside their home. Subscription savings: Each extra account will cost $8 monthly and will have access to nearly of the same features as the main account.

Can you believe it’s been nearly a decade since Don Draper meditated his way into creating the most legendary Coke ad in TV history? Mad Men wrapped up in 2015, but its cast? Still everywhere, some in your favorite shows, others totally off the radar. From high-fashion red carpets to indie film sets to unexpected career pivots, this crew didn’t just fade into the smoke-filled offices of Sterling Cooper.
Jon Hamm went full Hollywood heartthrob, Elisabeth Moss kept dominating TV like a boss, and January Jones, well, she’s still keeping us guessing on Instagram. Larry David has skewered Bill Maher‘s recent White House visit with a satirical essay for the New York Times titled “My Dinner With Adolf.” While the Curb Your Enthusiasm star never mentioned Maher by name, the article came just days after the Real Time host gushed about his meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House. On the April 12 episode of Real Time, Maher said Trump was a “gracious” host and “much more self-aware than he lets on.” He went on to say, “Everything I’ve ever not liked about him was — I swear to God — absent, at least on this night with this guy.” This praise came after years of negative comments back and forth between the HBO star and the former Apprentice host. Trump has frequently slammed Maher’s show and referred to the comedian as a “low-life.” David spoofed Maher’s White House visit, penning...

It feels safe to say that Larry David wasn’t impressed with Bill Maher’s recent dinner with President Donald Trump. The “Seinfeld” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” creator and star mocked the controversial meeting in a New York Times op-ed titled “My Dinner With Adolf.”
“My Dinner With Adolf” is exactly what it sounds like — David recounting having an imagined dinner with Adolf Hitler in 1939. From the very beginning, the piece alludes that it’s about Maher, taking shots at the comedian’s center-left politics and softening toward the sitting president.
“I knew I couldn’t change his views, but we need to talk to the other side — even if it has invaded and annexed other countries and committed unspeakable crimes against humanity,” David wrote in the Monday satire piece.
But as it continues, it becomes clear that it’s less of a nod to Maher and more of a barely veiled takedown.

When a professional athlete is the special guest star of a sitcom, it’s almost always a strikeout/fumble/missed shot. Some sports fans might be so charmed by a player’s athletic prowess that they can overlook it, but a swole dude awkwardly waiting for his cue and then reciting a line with a delivery more wooden than a baseball bat is usually unwatchable.
You can find examples of this in almost every long-running sitcom, but these are five of the most egregious…

A new viral trend is sweeping social media this year: the “recession indicator.” But what is it, exactly? Well, it means a lot of things to a lot of people!
The meme amusingly links certain behaviors and pop culture references/resurgences to signs of an impending economic downturn.
From the return of certain trends, like flash mobs and ice bucket challenges, to nostalgic music moments, like Lady Gaga‘s recent return to pop with Mayhem, reminiscent of her 2008 debut, Kesha and Ed Sheeran coming back into popularity (which he himself has acknowledged!), users online have been making tongue-in-cheek observations about how certain cultural shifts might signal trouble for the economy.

Camille won’t be returning to Emily In Paris Season 5? (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Big changes are on the horizon for Emily in Paris, and they start with a noticeable absence. One character, a familiar face since season one, won’t be making her stylish return.
Camille Razat, who played the artfully complex Camille, won’t be back for round five. Her exit marks a turning point, not just in the cast lineup, but in the emotional undercurrent of the show. Her absence will definitely leave a champagne-scented void despite her rocky relationship with Emily.

The fifth season of Emily in Pariswon't feature a character audiences have come to know and love since the beginning of the series. Camille (Camille Razat) hasn't always been a good friend to the protagonist of the story. However, regardless of what happened between the two young women, it has been confirmed that Camille Razat won't reprise her role in the next installment of the series. Most of the cast members who were present during the fourth season of Emily in Paris will be back for even more shocking plot twists in the city of love. Unfortunately, fans of Camille will have to say goodbye to their beloved champagne heiress.

Hal Jordan and John Stewart trade outer space for rural Nebraska in this gritty new take.
I’ve never been a huge fan of superhero shows or movies. The costumes, the over-the-top battles, the save-the-world-again finales — it’s just never really been my thing. But that’s exactly why “Lanterns” has my attention. It’s not some big cosmic spectacle. It’s a grounded murder mystery set in small-town America, with two Green Lanterns trying to uncover something dark that’s been buried in the heartland. Think less flying through space, more “True Detective” with power rings. With a sharp creative team and ties to the new “Superman” movie, this feels like a totally different take on the genre. Here’s everything you need to know about “Lanterns.”

Usually, when an established sitcom suddenly adds a new character, it’s a sign of desperation — and one most viewers can see right through. This, in turn, provokes them to attack without mercy. Just think of poor Cousin Oliver, the cute kid brought in for Season Five of The Brady Bunch who is still blamed for the show’s cancellation. Scooby-Doo fans similarly still revile Scrappy-Doo, and even Andy from The Office has his share of haters.
On the other hand, sometimes new blood is exactly the injection of energy a show needs. Here are five examples of new additions that actually made a series much, much better…

Maggie Wheeler, a successful character-actress best known as Janice on Friends, still feels a connection with her on-again, off-again onscreen boyfriend Matthew Perry, who passed away in October 2023 following a drug overdose.

Wheeler also lost her brother to drug addiction, and she believes the two have found each other up in the heavens — or at least, in the sky.

What characters should have received their own Seinfeld spin-offs?
Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld had the correct answer: none. Jason Alexander, who played George Constanza for the sitcom’s entire run, had other ideas. In a 2016 appearance on the Id1ot w/Chris Hardwick podcast, as reported by SlashFilm, Alexander floated two pitches that he believed could have been the next Frasier. Both premises sound like they would have been the next Joey.
First up? “The number one that I thought, through the roof, would’ve been the four parents down at the condo in Florida. That would’ve been unbelievable,” Alexander gushed. “I don’t think (NBC) ever looked at it.”
The likely reason the network never considered the idea: All four parents were insufferable. Jerry’s dad, Morty, was such a blowhard that he got impeached as president of a condo association. His mom, Helen, is a shoplifter...

The likely reason the network never considered the idea: All four parents were insufferable. Jerry’s dad, Morty, was such a blowhard that he got impeached as president of a condo association. His mom, Helen, is a shoplifter...

Joel and Ellie are back — joined by new faces and even more danger in a seven-episode season.
It’s rare for a TV show to take what I think is one of the best video games ever made and actually get the adaptation right — but HBO pulled it off with the first season of “The Last of Us.” And even though I had a pretty good idea of what was coming (thanks to playing the game), it still delivered some unforgettable visuals and emotional gut punches. Now, with Season 2 around the corner (and me going in totally blind this time since I never played “The Last of Us Part II”), I couldn’t be more excited. Add to that the fact that Max is completely owning my Sunday nights, following up the “The White Lotus” Season 3 finale with another one of my favorite shows a week later? What a time to love TV.

As "Seinfeld" drew to a close during its ninth and final season, fans of the uproarious sitcom created by Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David had a hard time accepting that there would be no further squabbling adventures in this rich and deeply petty universe again. Surely, there were spinoffs in development. Maybe a movie! An animated series?
If NBC had decided to keep the "Seinfeld" money train chugging in 1998, it could've drawn from a deep bench of recurring characters that might've been able to carry their own series. There was also the possibility of spinning off a show for one of the four leads, but no one seemed interested in going the "Frasier" route (which proved disastrous for Matt LeBlanc six years later when he segued from "Friends" to the weirdly misconceived "Joey"). Instead, as we all know, when "Seinfeld" ended, all of its characters ceased to be. It's unlikely...

Simpsons star and voice acting legend Pamela Hayden has retired from the show, and as the show looks for new actors to fill the voice roles of iconic Simpsons characters, one fellow comedy great is ready to assume the mantle — or, in this case, the cord.
Back in November, Hayden announced that, after 35 years on The Simpsons, she was ready to step away from the show and let other voice actors take over such roles as the memeable sad-sack Milhouse van Houten, the hilariously pure Rod Flanders and Corky Jimmy “Jimbo” Jones, the beanie-wearing bully who is the de facto second-in-command of Springfield Elementary’s roughnecks to Nelson Muntz. While Jimbo may not be as heavily featured as Nelson and certainly hasn’t shown such poetic depths of sensitivity and Andy Williams-appreciation as the lead bully, Jimbo is still an iconic Springfieldian who is responsible for many of the...

Watch out, Springfield Elementary students: Jimbo Jones has a new voice, and we're guessing he won't be afraid to use it to serve up his signature brand of remarks and insults, not least of which includes his classic "Bite me" catchphrase. The Simpsonscastingteamwere forced to recast the character after Pamela Hayden announced her retirement from the beloved animated sitcom last year, and, according to Entertainment Weekly, Bart won't be escaping his bullies any time soon, as Parks and Recreation actor Mo Collins is going to be bringing the character back.
Collins will make her official debut as the beanie-wearing bully in the fourteenth episode of Season 36 of The Simpsons, titled "P.S. I Hate You," when it releases on Apr. 13. The long-running cartoon aired its first episode back in 1989, and it has remained a staple on television for the past two decades despite there being several cast changes, particularly in recent years.

Ever had someone get on your nerves so much that you have no choice but to resort to petty measures to get back at them? If yes, then you and Saturday Night Live legend Bill Hader are on the same page. Back when he was working at a movie theater, Bill Hader went out of his way to get back at a group who were bullying/mocking him. We are not saying that it was well-deserved, but…
He recently shared the hilarious anecdote from his life for all of us to sit back and take notes from. After all, a little pettiness hurt not one. Well, except the group of girls who just wanted to watch Leonardo DiCaprio in the tear-jerking Titanic.

Warner Bros. Discovery announced the renewal of the show just a few days before its second season is set to premiere.
The creators of HBO’s hit series “The Last of Us” have referenced “The Empire Strikes Back” when discussing the impact Season 2 of the show will have. But without a “Return of the Jedi”-like follow-up, that tease of Season 2’s promise would feel a bit hollow. Fans don’t have to worry about that, however, as Warner Bros. Discovery has announced that the show is officially returning for a third season.

No reason has been given for the show’s removal, leaving plenty of room for speculation.
Update: Following the initial reporting, a Max source confirmed to The Streamable that “The Leftovers” is not currently scheduled to depart the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned streaming service.

Max isn’t afraid to pull titles from its platform, even popular original series. The streamer is reportedly set to make another such removal in the coming weeks, as its supernatural drama series “The Leftovers” will be leaving the streamer before summer begins. Will it be moved to another streaming service, or is it simply an attempt to by Warner Bros. Discovery to cut down on expenses?
Key Details: “The Leftovers” could be preparing to move to another streamer, like Netflix. Alternatively, the show could be removed to lower residual payments.

"Seinfeld" went to some pretty dark places over its run. It sent its main characters to prison for a year. It killed off George's (Jason Alexander) fiancé Susan (Heidi Swedberg), and in a very cold manner, I might add. There was even a -- decidedly bad -- episode where Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) may or may not have been molested by his dentist. Most sitcoms in the '90s kept things safe and sweet, but Seinfeld, his co-creator Larry David, and the other "Seinfeld" writers had no interest in that sort of thing.
Considering how free "Seinfeld" seemed with pushing boundaries, it's surprising to hear about the moments where the NBC execs decided to draw the line. For instance, there was supposed to be a season 2 episode titled "The Bet" or "The Gun," but it was never filmed because NBC found it way too dark. The episode featured perhaps too much gun-related humor,...

Here’s what you need to know about ‘The White Lotus’ season finale
A luxury resort, a mysterious crime, and way too many secrets — yep, “The White Lotus” is back and more cringy (in the best way) than ever. Season 3 of Mike White’s hit series has taken us to Thailand, where sun-soaked views clash with shady behavior and unraveling relationships. With the finale around the corner — and clocking in at a full 90 minutes — things are about to come to a head in a big way. Your guess is as good as mine as to who’s the killer (and the killed), and if you’ve been keeping up with the drama, you won’t want to miss how it all wraps up. “The White Lotus” Season 3 finale streams Sunday, April 6 at 9 p.m. Et on Max.

In Larry David's 1998 comedy bomb "Sour Grapes," Richie Maxwell (Craig Bierko) is just finishing a vacation in Atlantic City with his cousin Evan (Steven Weber). Richie has nearly run out of money, having gambled his budget. He's down to one quarter. On the way out of a casino, he asks Evan for 50 additional cents so he can throw it into a 75-cent slot machine. Evan agrees. A single pull on the machine wins Richie $436,000. This immediately leads to a feature-long argument over who has the legal and moral right to the winnings. Richie was both the one who decided to gamble the money and the one who pulled the handle, but Evan was the one who loaned him the quarters to make it possible. Evan argues that he is at least owed two-thirds of the jackpot.
This leads to a series of increasingly bleak scenarios that prove how horridly desperate both men are.

The FX comedy It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has made a mark in the sitcom space by its penchant for going against all established tropes. The ensemble comedy goes dark in every episode, and every time one hopes that the makers wouldn’t go to a darker space, they double down and go to a space that feels completely off-limits.
Hence, it was surprising for Iasip creator Rob McElhenney when other sitcom creators and actors such as Jerry Seinfeld crib about ‘wokeness’ ruining comedy. The Seinfeld star grieved about political correctness affecting comedy, citing a storyline from his own show that he claimed would not be allowed to air today, before McElhenney called him out.

One of the most obnoxious sitcom tropes is when a show becomes popular enough that celebrities begin appearing on it as themselves. Now, some shows have made it work. Insane guest stars are The Simpsons thing, for example. And Curb Your Enthusiasm is about a guy in show business, so celebrities playing themselves makes total sense. But when a show is about ordinary people yet gigantic household names keep showing up on their doorstep the reality of that world is blown apart.
There have, however, been a handful of times when a celebrity played themselves on a sitcom and actually pulled it off. These are the top five…
5 Marisa Tomei on ‘Seinfeld’
Tomei’s appearance on Seinfeld worked out of sheer absurdity alone. The very idea that the pathetic George Costanza (Jason Alexander) would be exactly her type is funny on its own, but when George and Marisa meet, the comedy is sublime.

A24’s newest streaming release is a horror comedy which revives the fears surrounding the Y2K virus in some pretty off-the-wall ways.
In reality, the Y2K virus turned out to be nothing but a big fizzle. But those who didn’t live through it might not be aware of the hysteria the so-called virus created, and they can get a taste of it in “Y2K,” the new A24 movie that arrives on Max on Friday, April 4 — a mere two weeks after The Streamable predicted it would arrive. The film imagines New Year’s Eve 1999 as a night of horrors when electronics come to life and begin to slay their human owners. The only way to stream the gruesome and giggle-inducing film is with a subscription to Max.
