    Warning: Spoilers
Ajay Debuted from super hit Phool Aur Kaante, Jigar was his next hit film but 1993 everything seemed to be lost. Ajay had more than 5 movies in 1993 out of which only Divya Shakti was a super hit. Coming to Dhanwaan, this movie is where Ajay tries to do something new. From the movies in 1993, Ajay only played the same role where he came from a middle class family, got framed for a murder and escaped prison and took revenge. Here, Ajay tries something completely different. This movie has no action sequences. The movie basically goes like this, Ajay is a poor man, his family members and poverty problems are introduced. He is very sad upset with his lifestyle. But, Ajay meets a girl Manisha and after a few comedy scenes and misunderstandings both fall in love. Both of them are poor and they decide to get married. But, Ajay falls in love with another girl Karisma but her dad doesn't approve the match. But, now Manisha is angry for him deceiving her and falling in love with another girl. Ajay doesn't love Karishma but only wants her for the wealth. His true love is Manisha. Ajay plans to get money by horse races and wins and wins until he meets Karishma's dad and he loses here. He loses everything but at the end he marries Manisha and walks away with what he has. The ending is really horrible and makes no sense. The heroines both are duds at acting. Ajay Devgan has acted very well but that is the only goo part of the film. But, the story until the end is not so bad so I changed my mind. Overall, an average movie. The movie was Ajay's last flop since it was the end of 1993.
  • For once, Ajay Devgan wasn't the middle classed man who got framed for murder, escaped prison and took revenge and doing loads of action sequences

This is a romantic love triangle with Ajay Devgan, Karisma Kapoor and Manisha Koirala Towards the last 45 minutes, the film starts to resemble NAYA DAUR (1957) but then goes back to the love triangle

The film makes u laugh a bit The Ajay-Karisma love story bit looks good but Manisha came and ruined it

The songs were OK but dat one where Ajay Devgan copies some Amitabh songs was good

Ajay Devgan excels and proves he can do roles in romantic dramas rather than action films Manisha Koirala is OK Karisma Kapoor is good Kader Khan is funny Shakti Kapoor is good in a different role Avinash Wadhavan is passable
