Set in 1951, a blacklisted Hollywood writer gets into a car accident, loses his memory and settles down in a small town where he is mistaken for a long-lost son.
The Lawson train station is really in Fort Bragg, California. The train is called "The Skunk Train" and is a scenic railroad that runs inland from the north coast through the redwoods.

When Luke picks up Adele for the "Welcome Home" dance, she is revealed in a beautiful red lace dress, with a small necklace that has red stone pendant. After they arrive, and begin the first dance, a close up reveals that Adele is wearing a metal locket instead.
The Hollywood executives heard in the first scene are briefly heard over the Castle Rock logo. Postcards of Lawson fall down around the opening credits.
