This film was also the debut film of Shadaab Khan as actor. Shadaab Khan is Amjad Khan's son.

Although Rani Mukerji went onto to establish herself as a versatile and respected actress. Shadaab Khan's career ended after a few years, however in recent years he has become a respected author. He eventually made a comeback with his performance in the Hansal Mehta Directed Web Show Scam 1992 as Ajay Kedia

Mamta Kulkarni was the original choice for the lead role.

The film did not have a theatrical release in British Columbia,Canada.
