A mentally handicapped man fights for custody of his 7-year-old daughter, and in the process teaches his cold hearted lawyer the value of love and family.
There was originally to be a line where Brad (Brad Silverman) asks Rita (Michelle Pfeiffer), "Are you wearing a Wonder Bra? Because you look wonderful today..." but Silverman thought the line was offensive to David E. Kelley (Pfeiffer's husband) and refused to say it.
You think what they think.
Rita: It doesn't matter what I think. It matters that we win.
Sam: No, you think what they think. You think Sam can't take care of Lucy!
Rita: Sam, it doesn't matter what I think!
Sam: It matters to me!
When Rita tries to dial the office from her car, the phone's voice says "Dialing home", but the phone's screen shows OFFICE.
