good film on race perception from black and white
I was impressed with the acting and the subject matter. the premise of an upscale lawyer and a black janitor discussing race relations from their own perspective while being trapped together in an elevator was excellent. the flash backs about their meeting while the lawyer was in college and how he did not handle a problem with an elevator for the racially mixed neighborhood very well. now he is representing a developer that wants to step on the projects for financial gain and the janitor reminds him of his racial bias about the projects and how he measures everything by money. There are two and sometimes three different plots playing in the movie, with the present court room scene and the flash backs. I would recommend this movie to anyone.
