You can always count on the BBC News team...

BBC news is needed for this country to run. You can always count on the BBC to bring you the latest news in a fair, balanced way, presenting the facts across clearly.

It is a breath of fresh air to see that the BBC are the ONLY news operators that don't place huge flashing graphics across the screen, and don't spend ££££'s investing in funky theme tunes - but instead simply give the news to the viewer in a way that is simple and easy to understand.

In the UK the BBC have to compete with ITV news, Channel 4 news, Five news and Sky News. The BBC wins by a mile. They don't have huge studios with fancy large swooping camera angles, and they don't sensationalise the news stories with hopes of winning the more viewers.

The BBC win in the ratings against every other news program/channel, and whenever there is a disaster you guarantee the British people will turn to the BBC news team in their millions...

Keep up the good work.

It's now unwatchable.

What used to be the ultimate news show, and the only possible source of getting the news has sadly become a dismal, biased show.

My opinion has switched drastically during the Covid 19 pandemic, The BBC had almost relished giving us negative, depressing, one sided news, there has been little balance, little optimism, and literally nothing positive on it. The only station that seems to offer up something different is Channel Four.

Twenty years ago this really was an excellent show, now I can't sit through more than two minutes of it, it is very sad what is happening at The BBC, dismal, 2/10.

It replaced a bulletin at an earlier time

This programme replaced the BBC Nine O'Clock News which ran for more than 30 years. It has basically the same format except that the regional news is shown in the middle of the programme. It is also longer at 35 minutes.
