There was no need to worry that Reba McEntire might mess up or bring any unnecessary flourishes to “The Star-Spangled Banner” when she performed the National Anthem prior to the Super Bowl on Sunday evening. Unlike anyone else who’d done it prior to the Bowl or any other major NFL game in recent memory, she brought a full half-century’s experience of singing the anthem to the occasion.
The year 2024 marks a special anniversary for the country superstar and her association with the song: She is often said to have been “discovered” 50 years ago when she sang it at the 1974 National Finals Rodeo in her home state of Oklahoma, when she was just 19.
McEntire’s latest rendition of the anthem was more fully orchestrated than some other recent versions — or even her own past readings — have been, with a pre-recorded horn section sending the song toward a big climax.

Netflix’s library of licensed content is growing. Following the massive streaming success of Suits last summer, Netflix is once again expanding its library of shows that originally aired elsewhere. (Suits aired on USA from 2011 to 2019.)
In addition to new seasons of popular original series such as Bridgerton and Love Is Blind, which are on the horizon in 2024, the streamer is also adding more episodes of beloved older shows, including This Is Us, White Collar, Lost, and How I Met Your Mother.
‘This Is Us’ and ‘Black Sails’ will stream on Netflix in January 2024 Toby Stephens and Luke Arnold in ‘Black Sails’ | Starz
Netflix is ringing in the new year by adding new shows to its streaming library. The new arrivals in January 2024 include Black Sails, a historical drama about pirates that originally aired on Starz from 2014–17 and which should appeal to fans of gritty period shows like Vikings and The Last Kingdom.

Late last night, social media users discovered something disturbing on Max‘s servers, or more accurately: discovered the absence of something on Max’s servers that disturbed them.
HBO‘s hallmark 2019 miniseries Watchmen was missing. For roughly an hour, various accounts on Twitter posted screenshots of searches for “Watchmen” that yielded nothing but Zack Snyder’s 2009 film adaptation and a motion comic version of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbon’s seminal graphic novel from the 1980s.

Can Netflix do for a show like “Reba” or “The Resident” what it did for “Suits?” That’s what we’ll find out next year when Disney begins licensing series to Netflix as part of a non-exclusive arrangement stretching through 2025.
Disney Entertainment and Netflix are in the works on finalizing a licensing agreement that will bring 14 different series from ABC, Fox, FX, and even ESPN to the streamer across 18 months, an individual with knowledge told IndieWire. At the time of this writing, the deal was not signed. Among the titles that will eventually make it are shows like “The Wonder Years,” “This Is Us,” “30 for 30,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “Lost,” “Archer,” “Prison Break,” “Home Improvement,” and more.
“The Hughleys,” D.L. Hughley’s sitcom that began in 1998 and ran for four years, will hit streaming for the first time on any platform. And Netflix and Disney are also...

Disney is bringing all past seasons of “Grey’s Anatomy” to Hulu — while they will remain on Netflix — coinciding with the official launch of Hulu on Disney+ in March 2024.
Starting in the spring 2024, Hulu and Netflix will share the co-exclusive U.S. streaming rights to all prior 19 seasons of “Grey’s Anatomy” as part of a new licensing deal between Disney Entertainment and Netflix. Only Hulu will have the complete series as new in-season episodes from the upcoming Season 20 of the hit show will be available to stream (after they air on ABC) along with the 19 previous seasons. “Grey’s Anatomy,” the longest-running medical drama on primetime TV, is created by Shonda Rhimes and produced by ABC Signature, a part of Disney Television Studios, and Shondaland.
The “Grey’s Anatomy” expansion on Hulu is part of a proposed short-term U.S. content agreement under which Disney Entertainment will license 14 library series to Netflix on a nonexclusive basis.

NBC’s The Voice Season 24 welcomed Reba McEntire as Blake Shelton’s country superstar replacement. While we greatly miss Shelton, McEntire is easily stepping into her role. Recently, she touched on fellow country-turned-pop sensation Taylor Swift’s current relationship status with Travis Kelce. And McEntire made it clear she’s (jokingly) not happy about what she’s hearing.

On Wednesday’s fourth episode of “Survivor 45,” Jeff Probst ushered in the first tribe swap of the new era by redistributing new buffs to the 15 players still in the game. As a result, the three-time losers of Lulu were split apart, each going to a different beach. One of them, Sean Edwards, found new life at the Reba beach, but still lost his fourth straight challenge … and then asked to be voted out. Read on for Sean’s “Survivor 45” exit interview from the end of the episode.
Blindsided by his tribe at the previous Tribal Council, Sean was left outside of the numbers at original Lulu with Kaleb Gebrewold and Emily Flippen having a majority vote over him. Post-swap, Sean picked a red buff alongside four players that kept their red buffs, forming a formidable old Reba blockade that would be tough for him to crack. Ultimately, Sean believed that...

It has been 25 years since Keri Russell graced the small screen in the iconic role of Felicity Porter.
Felicity, the J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves-produced college drama, was a critical darling of The WB, becoming a phenomenon well before "the big chop" controversy and often topping the list of young adult classics to this very day.
The series amassed 84 episodes over four seasons, and it was nominated for 38 awards, including a Golden Globe Best Actress nod for Keri Russell.
The series remains impactful, even two and a half decades later. And it's primarily due to the allure of the cast, many of whom are still going strong in their careers all these years later.
So, where is the cast of Felicity now? Check it out!

An unexpected reality competition crossover happened on Tuesday (September 26) night when America’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel crashed the set of The Voice to share his adoration for Reba McEntire. The Voice, which premiered its 24th season on Monday (September 25) and also airs Tuesdays, was in the middle of its Blind Auditions when an obnoxious fan started yelling “Reba!” from the crowd. Host Carson Daly told the annoying audience member to calm down before realizing the culprit was a familiar face. “Hey, is that Howie Mandel?” Daly said as the camera zoomed in on Mandel standing in the audience, wearing a white T-shirt with “I Reba” printed on the front. “Howie, what are you doing here?” Daly continued. “I love Reba!” Mandel replied. “We’re right next door shooting the AGT finale. Would you sign my shirt?!” Sooo @howiemandel may actually be in the running for Biggest @reba Stan! He...

Reba McEntire will join “The Voice” as a mega mentor for Season 23, Variety has learned.
McEntire joins the A-list lineup of coaches Chance the Rapper, Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan and Blake Shelton for the new season that premieres March 6 on NBC.
Season 23 is Shelton’s final season. He has been part of the musical competition show from the very beginning, as the only coach who has remained for the entirety of the show’s run.
Having McEntire on board brings another country superstar into the show’s mix. It also marks McEntire’s return to “The Voice,” as she served as a Battle Advisor to Team Blake during the show’s inaugural season in 2011. Now, having her back on the series as Shelton coaches his final group of artists and bids farewell to the competition is a fitting full circle reunion.

Steve Howey landed small roles on TV throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s before ultimately securing the recurring role of Van Montgomery on the WB sitcom "Reba" from 2001 to 2007. Howey's role on "Reba" helped propel him into the spotlight, which led to his performances in films like "Bride Wars" and shows like "Psych" in the mid to late 2000s. Arguably, Howey is most known for his role as Kevin Ball in the acclaimed Showtime series "Shameless," which he starred in from 2011 to 2021. Up next, Howey is starring in the CBS action series "True Lies," which premieres on the network and Paramount+ on March 1.
Outside of his lengthy acting career, though, Howey has maintained a private personal life. The actor's only public relationship has been with fellow actor Sarah Shahi, whom he was married to from 2009 to 2021. Following his divorce from Shahi, Howey appears to be single and focused on his career at the moment,...

Whether or not you've watched the 1989 Rob Reiner-directed film "When Harry Met Sally...," you probably know about its most famous scene. You've definitely heard the line, "I'll have what she's having." It's the story of Harry (Billy Crystal) and Sally (Meg Ryan), two people who meet at the end of college and debate whether men and women can be just friends. It's not a debate that's currently raging, but hey, this was 1989. It was a weird time.
Harry and Sally keep finding their way back to each other and attempt the friendship route with their relationship, though ultimately, they end up together. The entire film is full of vignettes from couples that writer Nora Ephron interviewed, discussing their connection, how they met, and their journey toward love.
It was a sweet movie for the time being. Still, truthfully, other than the line about men and women being friends (or...
