The first ever TV series set around a GAA club in Ireland. And a huge let down. Totally unrealistic plots surrounding the club and a huge let down to the thousands of GAA members around the country.

Set in the fictional town of Kildoran, it follows (loosley) the exploits of the local club in trying to win that all illusive "county championship".

There are many startling inaccuracies which serve to show the writers(s) do not have a clue about gaelic games.

It is as far from a true depiction of rural ireland as possible.

The acting varies but it is hard to give credit as the plots are so unrealistic. The chairman in a typical irish GAA club will be a "died in the wool fanatic" , not a cigar smoking business man who "entertains the sponsors". These "sponsors" are a major multi-national - not so unusual these days, but whereas in reality, the sponsorship is brought about by employees being involved in the company, the "sponsorship" story line is more akin to the Premiership than GAA.

All in all, the biggest let down for the GAA since Bloody Sunday.
