B-Movie Political Thriller...Just "so-so."
"Cockfight" was slow-moving and a bit tedious, but not too bad for a B-movie. The plot is remarkably true-life inasmuch as it depicts corruption in politics. It's easy to understand what is wrong with our system when you see how political leaders "wheel and deal." Some of the political arguments in the movie during the debate on the cockfighting bill are just as stupid as the real political arguments we hear today. One thing which makes this movie a little easier to watch is the fact that it is NOT 131 minutes long like it says here, but only 91 minutes long. Someone should learn the difference between "131 minutes" and "1 hour, 31 minutes."
