The housekeeper's name - Mrs Groves - is very close to the name of the housekeeper in Henry James' oft-filmed 'The Turn of the Screw' - Mrs Grose - and may hint at striking similarities between the two narratives - two children and a nanny/governess plagued by supernatural visions.
