Upon learning that his father has been kidnapped, Austin Powers must travel to 1975 and defeat the aptly named villain Goldmember, who is working with Dr. Evil.
ACTOR TRADEMARK (Mike Myers): (Scottish accent): Fat Bastard speaks with a Scottish accent.
Dr. Evil says "I don't speak freaky deaky Dutch," when claiming not to understand Goldmember when he talks about Austin Power's "farjsher" (Father). Dr. Evil was brought up by Belgian parents in Bruges which is a French and Flemish-Dutch speaking city. However, By Dr. Evil's own description of his parents throughout the series, and their questionable sanity and extravagance, it would not be surprising for him to never have been taught common-sense skills while living there.
Toward the end of the closing credits: "The baby carrier depicted in this film was specially adapted for use herein. Always use baby carriers in accordance with manufacturer's instructions."
Various corporate logos are blurred out throughout the TV version, like the Taco Bell logo on the food Frau brings in, and the Apple logo on the Powerbook Austin uses (in this case, it is "painted" over with gray to match the rest of the computer).
