What Happened?
OK, this is a true story:

I enjoyed the first two Austin Powers movies for what they were. Well made, unpretentious romps.

So, tonight I watched Goldmember on Stars cable channel. When it was over, the screen said, "Coming up next: Halloween, The Curse Of Michael Meyers."

-And it suddenly dawned on me: I had just SEEN the Curse of Michael Myers. Arrggghhh.

Beonce Knowles is worth a look, though. She's hot, adorable, and can even act, at least within the confines of her limited dialog in this movie.

Actually, the best part of this movie is the very last song under the credits, with Susannah Hoffs singing "What's it all about, Austin" -A somewhat veiled pun, as "What's it all about, Alfie" was the theme song from one of the earliest movies starring Michael Cain, who of course plays Austin's father in this flick.

-and that's the best part.

Really.

Stay tuned for "Austin Powers 4, the revenge of the script writers."
