  • This is a troublesome movie indeed, with the series taking a nosedive with this movie. The plot sounds cliché but suspenseful - a woman ghost named Sau Wan (Teresa Mak) possesses the body of Moon (Halina Tam) in order to seek revenge against her ex-boyfriend Tom Lee (David Wai-Sheung Lee), who murdered her. But, you don't see much ghost action at all, just Sau Wan's ghost appearing here and there, and an unconventional but silly duel of three guys channeling the spirits of martial artists toward the end of the movie.

Much of the movie centers around the boring subplot of Bud Gay (Ka Fai Tong), Bud Ren (Ronnie Cheung), Brother Eight (Oni Tsuka) and Brother Nine (Mr. Nine) trying to court ladies. The acting was pretty bad and the plot's pacing was slow. Nothing suspenseful or entertaining here except the mission conjured up by Bud Lung (Lan Law) to help Sau Wan seek revenge on Tom Lee. Halina Tam was a welcome presence in the movie, but the series veterans like Louis Koo, Amanda Lee, Simon Lui and Frankie Ng are sorely missed. The new series regulars of Ka Fai Tong, Bud Ren, Oni Tsuka and Mr. Nine gave the movies a serious decline in acting and entertainment value.

Overall, it's a slow ghost comedy with nothing really scary or funny at all. Bits of mild entertainment here and there, but watch at your own risk.

Bud Gay and his co-workers are at it again. This time they volunteer to help clean garbage off the beach to meet girls. And while there, one of the girls gets possessed by a woman who was slain by her boyfriend after loaning him a large sum. Bud Gay's cousin, Bud Yan shows up to do a bit of exorcism, but bungles it. Eventually Bud Lung, our dear Law Lan, must intercede. This time they decide to help the ghost revenge on the bastard who killed her. But there's a problem -- the bad guy can channel the shadow of Bruce Lee to beat people up for him. Luckily, Bud Lung can conjure up a man called Hero AND a Thai boxer a la A FIGHTERS BLUES to take him on. A bit better than the last one, but still quite terrible.
