I just can't believe nobody commented on this series!
This is not another American soap turned policier, this is a romanticed version of police work. The pace is fine, actors are fine (but for "Blanche") and plot is quite good. I just didn't like why "Viking", "Julien" and "Jeanne" appeared for about half of the series, and then disappeared. The ending of the series was a huge disappointment. I expected way more. It just did't feel like the end. I was waiting for "the next episode"... No semblance of "justice" was made, the bad ones won. But we don't even know for sure who they were...
The music is fine, Paris looks beautiful, and then quite real for some TV series. If you've been there for a while, you can recognize many of the places they show (not always the "touristy" ones).
Franklin is fine, so is Corboz in a secondary role. I didn't like the role of Martine, it seems "always the same" (but that's the plot, not her acting). Lulu is OK, but could not replace "Viking/ Clovis". "Anne" is quite fine, probably the role with more nuances. I liked Bragance as a copper with dubious ways to obtain his way, all with the pretence of utter morality. I liked one of his verbal duels with Franklin, he says something like: "I'm hated, but you need me to be who you are". Like Franklin's phrase on the crapaud, this series extolls some literary coups from time to time.
Summing up, not to be missed!
