...this show is constantly getting audience, so I will have to commit suicide or something.

On the other hand, I am really surprised that someone is watching "this" out of Spain, since the plot (if any) is absolutely awful... but... wait a minute... it looks like the writer of each episode is the starring of the series, so NOW I understand everything.

Anyway, the best part of this is that if you miss some episodes, be quiet, as they repeat the same action again and again and again. It is already very annoying but with some fake laughs... that would be the worst TV series ever to me.

    Keep this coming, public TV!
  • It took me ages to fill in all those forms and spaces and so on in order to put this series on IMDb.

And I did so with the sole purpose of reading other people's reactions. I am hugely delighted! This TV series is about as low as one can get reaching great heights of stupidity so as to entertain the silly masses. Which, unfortunately, not only in Spain, are the great majority. Seeing a fifty-year-old Ana García Obregón prancing about the screen dressed as if she were a fifteen-year-old, is enough to churn anyone's stomache, whatever dosis of gastric ulcer pills you may be taking. Yes, other contributors have said it all: rubbish, crap............

As for Ana García Obregón herself, she phones up all those silly magazines so they photograph her in her new bikini on some beach or other - but getting paid for it of course. Isn't that some kind of prostitution?
  • Just having seen a couple of episodes of the series (even if I COULD NOT see them complete) was enough to realize that this is one of the worst series ever made. Specially the actors' performances and the dialogues impressed me for their childishness and their extremely poor quality.

Any amateur could do it MUCH better. It is SO bad, that first I thought I was watching a parody. I was not.

Why does the PUBLIC TV create something like this and, what is even worse, why the hell does it have such a huge success? It is just another proof: our World is sick. And may die soon, if we follow this path.

    Pathetic.

And do not forget that they are already threatening with a cinema version.
  • I wouldn't define this show as rubbish, I'd rather say it's pure crap. The idea for the show is not very original (anyone remembers "The nanny"?) and most of the plots have been seen millions of times in any American show. I'm Spanish and I've seen lots of sitcoms from the USA and, in "Ana y los 7", I couldn't find anything I hadn't seen before. I know originality is something quite hard to find these days, but I don't really think what I'm asking is too much.

Well, that's it. Just another sitcom with all the prototypical characters you're supposed to find in such a show. If you expect deep plots, intelligent humor and believable characters, just look anywhere else, 'cause you won't find those things in "Ana y los 7"
  • "Ana and the 7" (TVE) is a show that beat "Gladiator" and week by week gets near a 30% of the share side by side with "C.S.I." (Antena3 TV). Both TV series defeat the Movie Premiere (Tele 5) almost as a routine and fight with each other to be the Top Prime Time program on Mondays.

The audience has been hooking to the series week by week for over 4 years now. By the results, it is safe to state that the professionals behind it know what they are doing even though some people don't seem to grasp what's their key for perpetual success. (Many series don't last a mere 3 weeks in Spain).

But how would it be to judge Cinderella under dramatic parameters for an adult drama? It would be nonsense as it is nonsense all the judgments "Ana and the 7" gets from people forgetting the key tone is very similar to a story tale. The tone seems to work out perfectly for the audience and so explains the fidelity of over 30% of the share for so many years, from children to seniors.

So why is it so hatred by some? Apart from those frustrated by their incapability to discern between an adult drama and a tale story some people can not stand the main actress, Ana Obregon, who originated the series and every now and then still dares to declare she writes it, when it's well known she does not put a single coma in the scripts.

However, aligning a personal dislike of the actress as a person with the judgment of the show, only generates passionate statements that fall out of reason. Those passionate militants against the series despite its continuous success from many years, fail to understand that what hooks such a broad audience week by week is the magic rooted in tale classics.

Judging by results, the producers and writers know what they are doing and those who express surprise for its big appeal only show they can not understand about the elements necessary to generate a successful TV series. If they ever consider to go further than being an astonished tele-viewer in disagreement with the broad public it would be wise for them to examine the elements of the series far over their dislike and observe what is that triggers in the audience that keeps them coming back for more, no matter if there is a big movie or a CSI episode in other TV channel.
  • I have just watched this show for the first time with my grandma, all she ever does is watch TV and since it was the last night before she leaves i decided to sit down and watch it with her. We both speak spanish fluently. Although i speak it i have a harder time understanding it, but this show i just saw was soo funny, being the first time i watched it, i have already set my alarm to watch it next week and it is now one of my favorite shows even if its all spanish! By the sound of it we are either not talking about the same show or you just dint get it, cause i understand that not everyone can like it, but i would not have imagined anyone to call it RUBBISH!
