Oliver Rokison receives an "introducing" credit.

The series was not as well-received as other adaptations of Just William due to the perceived "poshness" of actor Oliver Rokison, who played the title role. In the books, William Brown spoke with a rough, faux-Cockney accent much to his parents annoyance but Rokison portrayed the character with a posh, middle class accent, which destroyed most of the under-lying tension between the boy and his parents over his "common" ways.
